What have you been doing today?

Michelle, that was my Mum & dad, but they have moved to Cairns 2 years ago, and we are looking after and maintaining their house.
Mum has dementia,so we have good days, and not so good.

Since we are looking after 2 houses, we are buying their house for a upmarket B & B.

Hopefully bookings will roll in, on Air B&B.

Sorry to hear that Robyn. Dementia is a horrible disease. Does your dad have any outside help?

So sorry to hear your Mum has Dementia Robyn.

I've taken down the Christmas tree and all the decorations.Even put them away too Went and did a bit of grocery shopping.Free parking in Amersham seeing its a public holiday.   Very quiet there with just a few people braving the cold weather.

More rose garden cleaning up. Love the perfume inside the house.
Ham nearly finished, cool today so might make KFC to have with home grown pots and salad.

So very beautiful Chookie. Our roses are feeling the heat at the moment.  We have red and white ones out the front of the house to match the Federation style of the home. Out the back we have all the other colours. Unfortunately with the new van there they aren't getting a lot of sun.

More beautiful roses Chookie in another gorgeous vase. I have a little cupboard full of vases.( We think the cupboard was originally a bread oven space in the old part of the house) I did cull a few vases recently LOL..

I've had a busy day.  Scrubbed the ensuite and tidied the bedside cupboards, chased up staff and had a meeting with the DON at Wesley, SIL visited there. On to the pharmacy to pay and query accounts then Costco later in the afternoon before heading up to the north eastern suburbs to meet a friend for dinner. Out almost 10 hours today, nice to be home again.
