Up at 6.30 am and by 8 am I was out the front weeding, a job I needed to do. Lunch with a Probus friend and one of the few occasions I haven't been in to feed DH - his sister did it for me so that was really appreciated. He and Mum were happy to see me mid afternoon though.

Glad to see you taking a little time for yourself Judy.
Our carpenters finished today. The drawers are wonderful. I told them it was better than winning the Lottery.

Last day of our Upholstery Class. Our teacher surprised us all with a gift.We had to chose one of her prints of the Botanical Drawings she has done over the past few years. I choose the Passionflower. Of course we had a gift for her. A gift voucher and a huge bouquet of her favorite flowers. Many people had contributed as we all loved being part of her class. She said she will have fun spending the voucher.

That's a beautiful print, CC.  It's obvious there was a great deal of thought given to appropriate gifts by eveyone and both your fellow 'students' and your teacher will take many happy memories of your time sharing the craft and being together with each other into the future.

It's beautiful Denise, what a lovely thing to do for her class.  I'm sure you will find a special spot to hang it once it's framed.  Your last class must have been a wonderful but sad occasion.

CC, a lovely conclusion to your upholstery classes. Sad indeed for both the teacher and participants. That Passionfruit print is really something special.
I have placed all things back in to the new drawers. It will be a pleasure to be able to easily find what I need when cooking.
The carpenters also built some shelves in the laundry. Thing are gradually taking shape at Invermay. Next the long drive resurfacing and a new large shed .

Sister's  Birthday lunch went well. Everyone loved the Portuguese custard tarts. Mine didn't look as tidy as C C's. Will eat the leftover tarts with visitor today.

That sounds like fun Mich.
DD and I went to a Lego exhibition. It was more for adults than kids as it was several wonders of the world, plus a few other things. It is amazing and Ryan McNaught who does a lot of it has a wonderful sense of humour and puts interesting bits and pieces in his creations. Eg skeletons .. In one piece that was from North Korea he put Putin on horseback chatting to Tony Abbot in his speedos. He had a little Lego man with a parachute jumping off the building.
DD enjoys buying and making Lego Technics things.

This morning I have been doing MIL 's State Administration Tribunal things. It comes up every year at this time. This is the 8th year and I'm improving. When I put the final figures in to balance it was $5000 out the first time, then I realised I had missed a bond payment for the nursing home which was $5000.  Eureka...it balanced to the last cent.
