My brother and his partner came over unexpectedly this morning. It was lovely.

Yesterday Ral fixed up the irrigation in the veggie garden as it wasn’t supplying enough water. Then I planted the seedlings I got from the swap. I also covered the raised beds with bird netting.
Made lemon butter in TMX.

Way to go Denise, I’d be wiped out for the rest of the day if I had bubbles that early in the morning.
I had a great day yesterday, it was fun at Wesley and the 3 course meal was lovely then I caught up with my DD & family for the evening session.  Surprisingly I was able to eat the salmon she cooked albeit it much later than I normally eat.

Nice to see everyone enjoying their Xmas day.
At Creswick Swap last Saturday, spoke to 3 people who were spending Xmas day by themselves. Didn’t feel we knew them well enough to ask them to join us.  Maybe next year.

DD has, on occasions invited someone from work who is by themselves. Last year it was a guy who was recently separated and his wife had the kids for Christmas. Another year it was a lass who came from Gympie ;who wasn't going home for Christmas. We don't mind as we always have enough food. It  is sad to think that people may be by themselves.

That sounds like a fun day Robyn.
Very kind of you to have the lost souls cookie, it’s a wonderful thing to do.
A friend visited today with scones etc but both Mum and Geoff out of sorts today so they slept whilst we chatted non-stop.

I love orphans Christmas, when people come for lunch, instead of being on their own. you learn so much from people you don't normally see, and get to catch up.

I love doing the extra baking for the oldies that can't do it any more, and just drop food in to people doing it tough. :D  That is why I always make extra  Christmas cakes, and meals, every year. it works well.

I suppose its my way of giving back and helping people. :)

Very generous of families inviting ‘ orphans’ for Xmas. We have also done this regularly for 30 years. This year was very different. 2 days before Xmas we hosted Xmas lunch for friends from Indonesia and when we go on hols to Barwon Heads in a couple of weeks we are having a large group of former work colleagues for lunch.  Probably good that circumstances change. Don’t think I could cope with the 20 + for both lunch and dinner anymore.

It’s very generous of you Robyn and I’m sure these people appreciate it.
Chookie you’d need good cold storage facilities for feeding 40 people during the same day.
Have a great catch up with former work colleagues.
