Good morning everyone.  Nice warm day, heating up gradually over the next week.
Gosh it would be hard to rest your foot for 6 weeks Denise, your friend will need a lot of help.
Almost that time of the year again Chookie, how many batches will you be making this year?

We have the handyman here again today, finishing a little bit more of the repairs on the front of the house.  Only the painting to go next.

DD and I went shopping and to have coffee today. I spent a little of my Dymocks money on a book. I will put it in the shopping post.
I also went to the lovely Italian shop to pick up some fruit and veggies. I bought some lovely pepperoni there for tomorrow night's pizza.

Today Creswick Farmers Market. Buying dried fruit for hot cross buns.
Picking up new chair cushions.
Preparing lunch for visitors tomorrow.
I saw Hot X Buns in the supermarket for sale yesterday when I went grocery shopping. I'm looking forward to making my own again this year. I use your recipe Chookie ;D

Yesterday at the Creswick Farmers Market I bought my fruit for the Hot Cross buns. The lady I buy from always looks after me so I took her some SD crumpets and a pot of jam. I told her they were a gift and didn’t want a discount. ( which she gave me when I gave her a SD olive loaf)   She quickly put a large piece of home grown pumpkin and a bag of plums in my basket.
My gardener and I are going to make Hot Cross buns together.  We will make SD and yeast ones. Judy, not sure how many yet.
Yesterday I did a little experimenting with the Kefir.  I used some of the previous newly made Kefir to make a new batch.   That is without the grains.  1 heaped tablespoon to a cup of milk.  I mixed it in the TMX.

When we shifted in to Invermay, about a year ago, DD put 100 small fish in our dam.
This is what DS caught today.

How big do they have to be before you eat them Chookie? Great having your own supply of fish on the property!

DD who is the fish expert said he was very healthy.  From the colour he was probably eating yabbies.
Judy he was certainly large enough to eat but we just like having them in the dam.

A visit to the doctor this morning to get the results of a knee scan.  It looks like I will need a knee replacement before much longer.  Not looking forward to that so I will put up with things as they are for as long as I can.

Supermarket shopping in the afternoon.  Since DS has been home my grocery bill has sky rocketed. :(
