I will be making Tahini biscuits, which are a butter free version of Anzacs.  Anzacs were one of the first things I made when I got my TMX in 2009.
For my Family history, will write today what I remember about family members who were involved in both World Wars. Grandfather who stood in mud up to his waist in trenches to uncle who flew planes out of England and was awarded  DFC.
K ATIE, have you got a freezer?  If you have, fill it so you don’t have to shop for meat too often.  Can you get groceries delivered? Batch cook. ( the TMX is not the best for this)  use your slow cooker and use your TMX to assist. Tray bakes are good. You have enough to cope with without the stress of shopping at this difficult time. you may be going over the top with the sterilisation.  I leave the delivered boxes on the veranda and spray with Glen 20. there have not been any reported cases of the virus in our area for 23 days.

Sounds like a nice way to spend ANZAC day Chookie.

Cookie, doesn't your daughter work at the hospital anymore? Elective surgery will be starting up again next week in NSW. It will still be limited but at least it is something. I hope they won't be lifting restrictions too quickly.

It does sound special, how far away is she?

We are lucky as the birthday girl only lives a couple of suburbs away from us.

When I went shopping I looked at a freezer , DH thinks I’m crazy but I would like to get one so we can put lamb in it too. Traybakes that would be great idea .we get fruit and veg delivered now once a weekend they have milk , the bakery we get thier bread and treats also milk ,but no groceries . So enjoyed making and eating  your Anzac biscuits today Chookie thank you .
I feel a lot better today . Although the four of us went and did a paddock burn . I drove the Fire truck 🚒 no idea how to , DH was not popular. Eventually he told me what to do ! DD on the back putting out embers , she is quite capable . DS driving the Ute with the flame starter ( water tank on too ) DH passenger directing him . Both kids have done junior fire brigade each summer and comps . So our Anzac Day was fun in the end .

Always something to do there K Atie.  You might get the rain tomorrow that we’ve been having for the past few hours here in Adelaide so that will settle everything for you.  The family works well as as team.

You are always so busy Katie.
Another beautiful day here. It was 29 yesterday and to be about the same today. So some more time in the garden and some cooking. I'm just get so excited when my cooking turns out after a 2 year run of disasters.

DS and DIL had another successful fish yesterday. The flathead was for DH and they swapped the flounder with a friend for eggs (they have chickens).

K ATIE, that was a big job well done. Congratulations to the whole family.
KAtie, when we had 2 houses, one in the city and the other in the country, I couldn’t have managed without a very large freezer. ( the kids called it Jurassic Park ) I was working full time, long hours.  I would buy a whole lamb or a side of beef and always had something available. Groceries and Fruit once a fortnight. Your situation is different but a freezer does save time and money. I now have 2 upright ones with drawers . More convenient but don’t hold as much.

Michele, we watched with despair as you couldn’t get cooking to work.  Very glad  you have turned that corner.  We all have days when nothing turns out right.

Today I am going to experiment with flavour bombs.  These are a mixture of spices that are kept in the freezer and added to dishes.
Wow, Michele, that is terrific.  Love fresh fish.

Jurasic Park - That's a good one. We use to call my MIL's freezer The Time Capsule because every time she cleaned it out there would be old, unidentifiable things in it.
Will look forward to your floral arrangements Chookie, sounds like fun.

DH and I walked along the lake today, lovely warm weather and the lake was gorgeous.

Are flavour bombs a bit like Tenina’s umami cubes Chookie?

I’m not familiar with Taninas cubes.  These are based on a Roux and with spices added. Didn’t get around to making today.  A very cold start to the day.  Spent most of it outside.
