Good to see you are being pro active with your diabetes Judy. No wonder that your advisor wanted to give you a hug.

DD and I went to our local Westfield today. She wanted to go to Uniqlo. Not sure if I have spelt that correctly. It's a Japanese shop that sells clothes. It re opened today. She bought a few bits for wearing at home in the cooler weather. Most of the clothing shops were still closed and of course you could only buy take away coffee.

Margret all the best with all DH appointments. Judy well done you will have it all sorted by June.
No school learning today , kids were tiered . DD did get into doing her Art work . I seemed to clean on and off all day . DS and DH burnt off gum leaves and tided up under the trees . DS let me look after the two burn piles !! He came back to two huge burn piles ... Opps a lot of fun and they burnt out . We went for a walk , DS took his drone it followed us all the time . Maybe a bit anoying after awhile . DS has been doing the wood fired boiler ( for the heating ) so he stacked more wood and fixed it up feed the dog and got in on dark . Beautiful Autumn afternoon.

I’m basically a very plain cook, but today I am attempting to make  a special pastry sweet for lunch tomorrow. They are pastry Turtles filled with applesauce.

You can do that Chookie, please share your photos.
Thanks for your vote of confidence ladies, it’s nice to have the support of your friends. It just becomes a way of life and gets easier every day.  Next week I’ll make some enquiries to see if the gym has reopened for small groups as I have a referral from my GP for the Exercise Physiologist there.

My little Turtles aren’t as nice as the ones in the photo.  I used Aldi puff pastry , bit lazy. They were much easier than I imagined. The Apple filling was very nice.

Your turtles are brilliant Chookie.

I have basically been quite lazy today. As the isolation goes on I think I get worse,

Life sure is more laid back cookie so I understand where you’re coming from.  I had a visitor for a couple of hours this afternoon, it’s so nice when one pops in.

Family from Melbourne for lunch.  We haven’t seen them for ages. It was lovely.  The pastry turtles were a success and I would recommend making them if you wanted something a bit different.  The size was good as per instructions and the filling just right. I made the filling , and cut out the pastry the previous day.
