Well DD spent the day packing and lucky for me a slightly tidier dinning room table . Felt strange dropping her off at boarding, not allowed out of the car to help take in her gear . Lucky that I got to speak to the head of boarding and gave DD a huge hug . It was the second hardest time to leave her , normally I’m fine , water off a ducks back , but this was hard . Now to concentrate on DS and let school take care of DD . Best bit was DS got his boarding / school gear together well none of his pants fit him .
Back late so quick easy dinner .

Katie, that must have been so hard for you and DD. Some normality returning though.

KAtie, although it was in 1966 I can still remember my Mum dropping me at boarding school, each and everytime. I was so glad I only did 2 years there and did my earlier high school in the local town. Boarding school wasn't my thing I'm afraid.

DS and I felt it was quiet today , I missed my morning whipped coffee leftovers from DD ( only decaf was allowed) I would take the TMX bowl add a little milk and zap , milky foamy iced coffee. Beautiful afternoon so lots of washing and trips to dog kennel were DS was fixing Peppers water bowl . Something is digging under the chooks shead , so DS was filling up holes with rocks and dirt bricks too . Hopefully it will be awhile before it happens again . Might be time to clean chook shead and do some repairs .. before I loose my worker !

Life will be much quieter without the kids at home K Atie.
Back to my regular gym session this morning, it was so hard to get up early and make myself go there but I enjoyed the workout and the company of 2 others from my usual class. All up there were only 4 of us there so others are obviously choosing not to return just yet.

I'm not sure if I am looking forward to my gym re-opening, Judy - I am concerned about those selfish people who do not wipe down the equipment when they have finished using it and there are also a few very heavy breathers on weights, etc. there as well, which I have never liked, but I am scared of now.

Me either Cookie.  Just did a bit of baking and the usual tidy up.  Have had a nice, relaxing day.  The weather made me feel like snuggling down at home.  I must say I love winter  ;D

Cooking most of the day.  Quick trip to Chemist.  Gave one of the staff some dehydrated SD starter.  She has been using it and said it was very active.  I’m pleased as I normally do a test run when I give the dried starter to anyone.  Didn’t do it this time.

DS and I think it’s very quiet again today . Sat down and worked for hours on a quilting fox patch for our local sewing group, was so pleased but then discovered it is too small ! Back to the drawing board with this . Washing on line such great sunny days . Prepped dinner early as had a yoga zoom class tonight . DS is perfecting serving up dinner for himself and DH . Found them belly laughing as they were watching a Mr Bean movie . Marsterchef chocolate watermelon was amazing . DD is settling in with school and friends .

I did the grocery shopping today. Not happy with the way a lass at the checkout treated me. She was very rude. She is new to the store. I was chatting to one of the boss ladies and mentioned it to her. I don't normally do things like that but felt she warranted it. DH said it was my mean, rotten and nasty side coming out. I always told the kids in my class I was mean, rotten and nasty.

Cookie, you are definitely not mean , rotten or nasty.  The shop needs to know if a new staff member is not doing the right thing.
We had Bruce and Mandy for lunch today.  Those members who came to meet CC at Cherokee might remember them.  They came to help serve and clean up. Very good friends.
Lots of leftovers.

That would have been nice Chookie, they’re both great helpers in the kitchen.  They must be missing going cruising, do they have any idea when their next one will be available?
