Our roof solar power is great. I know that I can bake to my hearts content during the day and the sun is giving me the energy. DH is beginning to think of batteries to go with the solar panels.
I had planned to go out this morning but couldn’t be bothered. DH went down to see his Mum and a mate and was gone all day. It was a very quiet, but pleasant day.

Had a haircut and colour  yesterday , love it when you first have your hair done . Shopping.. Coles had very empty shelves , possibly due to very mean shoppers and delivery slow down .
Boys also passed me on the way home , they were going boys shopping! Flat pack is all I heard , think DS is building more shelves for workshop .

DD rang fairly early this morning to say she was going out to dinner unexpectedly and would I mind dropping some clothes to her at work. They are doing roadwork out that way and I got completely bamboozled. I had to pull over and use the GPS. I felt really stupid.

That’s what it’s for cookie, you were lucky to have that to fall back on. It doesn’t take much to bamboozle we women with road closures etc.

That makes me feel a little better. They have changed the entries and exits to the freeway around DD’s work. I’m sure she will think it’s a huge joke.

When I get lost (sometimes on a regular basis!) I just look at it as I am seeing places I wouldn't normally see otherwise!  Sometimes it is interesting, sometimes it is good and sometimes it is a complete waste of time and no fun at all! - and sometimes DH gets really annoyed with me as well  ;)

I usually do that Marina. I even got a lovely drive over the river and along it. As usual it looked lovely and serene.

Today DD and I went to the Apple shop to look at Apple watches. She is thinking seriously of getting one. Does anyone have one please? If so what do you think? Do they need charging every day?

Google maps saves time ! Use to be Melways directory book in my car as a young girl .
Boys gone shopping again !! All for DS to build workshop cabinet and paint for a trailer . Visited my friend who is now recovering at home , so good to chat and dropped some eggs off too .
Going to lunch tomorrow... that sounds strange . I had forgotten so lucky one of the girls texted to say Don’t forget! So there was a reason to have my hair done after all .

I get lost all time. DH tries to tell me which way is shortest. The quickest route for me is the one I know. If that has a diversion for some reason I wander around until I see a familiar landmark and go from there.

There were some posts on the forum about 5 weeks ago regarding grandchildren. I have none and didn't expect to have any. My DD and SIL have been married for nearly 11yrs and are happily child free. My DS turned 30 in January and at his party DDIL said she wasn't ready for children yet. Just a week after the forum conversation they came over to announce they are having a baby in mid January. I've only just been able to say something as she wanted to wait until after the 12 week mark. I'm so excited and pleased for them.

That’s great news for you too Michele, especially as you weren’t expecting any grandchildren anytime soon.  Something lovely to look forward to, thanks for sharing your good news.

Cookie, love my Apple Watch.  Lasts about 1 1/2 days without charging.  Have had  it about 2 years.  Need to have the correct iPhone for it to work. Also need to have phone nearby.  I’m sure I don’t use it to capacity, but use the timer on it when I am cooking and the exercise thing that measures steps. When a shop girls saw me taking a phone call on it she said I was real cool. Ral uses his all the time to take phone calls.
Michele, that is great news about you going to be a granny.
K ATIE, glad your friend is recovering.
