Marina I would have no idea what to do.
Chookie there is nothing like automatic garage doors. A dear friend of ours who is 90 soon has had a chair lift installed. He has a multi level house. He loves it.

DD and I went to the Westfield this morning. I was looking for a new top to wear to the funeral. I adore red but it is a big NO for this. I ended up getting the perfect one. It’s navy blue and very simple. I will wear either an opal or pearl brooch with it. (Both belonged to Mum)

Good choice, that sounds like a lovely, classic outfit, Cookie.

;)Marina, we use garden lime to dust the chooks for mites.  If you can let them out and dust bath, this also helps. I’m about to try something different. I have bought some Bombs that people use in their houses. I’m going to lock the chooks out and let one of in the enclosed inner nesting shed. However the chooks also need treating. The wild birds carry the mite so it is best if you can stop them getting in.

Thanks, Chookie, I might try that next time DH is up in Guildford to help me.  We got a powder from the pet shop which we used last time, combined with vaseline to wipe all over their legs hoping that that will stop further.infestation from the mites.  Our girls adore their dust baths and have several comfortable baths dotted around the place.  I often find them at our back door, piled against each other and rolling around having a wonderful time!

We had the funeral today. It all went brilliantly  and was perfect for her. The weather was kind and the stretch limo and driver luxurious.

That's good news, what wonderful memories you will have of your MIL and of the funeral after today's service.

This morning I am off to the flower and garden show. It hasn't been on for years so I am very much looking forward to it.

I've heard that this is brilliant Marina. Some people have told me that it's netter than Floriade, which I love.

It was very good, Cookie.  I always enjoy going there and this is the first one for two years, due to COVID.  The only problem is that there is so much to see it is overwhelming and very hard to get around everything.  I was there for two hours and barely scratched the surface, I think you would need 4 - 5 hours to really get around everything, which makes for a very challenging day ... however, lots of coffee and food stalls around the place to keep you going!

Marina, so glad to hear that you enjoyed the flower & garden show.  I worked there for many years on the iris stand, it was a busy time selling and answering questions and keeping the stock trays full.  I agree there is always so much to see and it's very hard to not get carried away buying things.

I imagine there were plenty of people there Marina, 2 hours is better than not going at all though.
