It’s so nice hat you have someone to give you a hand Chookie, you sound very organised now.

Lovely to have help and especially someone to chat too as you get things done Chookie. It’s wonderful that you can stay with DD. She will love having you.
Sending hugs.

Friend and puppy arrived. Ral home next Thursday. Hell! Hired a Hospital type bed and bought linen for it yesterday. Invited friends and neighbours in to take stuff that I have cleared out from kitchen. Rest will go to op shop. DD is re arranging her house to accommodate us.
I didn’t realise I had so much stuff. There are 52 drawers in the kitchen, plus shelves. Even though I have removed a lot, I think I will probably have to do it again when we shift.
Lots of friends arriving. More talk than work. Good though.

Talk about everything happening at once!!  Fantastic news that Ral can come home next week. I am so pleased to hear that.  You have to remember to take it easy as well ... just do what you can comfortably do each day ... tackle each of those drawers and shelves one at a time and don't allow yourself to become overwhelmed you have so many family and friends who want to help you and that will ease some of the load from your shoulders.  Ral and yourself are your priorities just now.

With your current situation things have to move quickly Chookie, I can just imagine how frantic it is over there in both houses.  You can do this, it sounds as if you have lots of support and helpers  around, put them to work too and you can still talk whilst doing that. Marina’s advice is spot on and how wonderful that Ral will soon be home.

A visit to the doctor yesterday.  I'm still not feeling my best at the moment.  On top of everything else it seems I now have a bowel infection as well.

Chookie, I am so far behind with the news now.  It's sad that you have to sell your beautiful home but good news that Ral will be out of hospital soon.  We are sending huge hugs to you both.

Margaret that isn’t good. Take your medicine and rest up.

Chookie having Ral home will make much more time for you as you won’t have to go to the hospital, although you will still have to go to Invermay to tidy, empty and clean.
I’m sure you will all feel so much happier with Ral home.
I laughed that you and friends were talking and not tidying, that is what we end up doing and drinking tea and coffee and of course snacking.
Take care Ballarat friends and don’t over do it.

Chookie you are doing an amazing job , do the hospital do an at home service ? As in can they come and assist with Ral as part of the at home hospital care , always ask it’s a great help . Means the medical side is attended to and you can concentrate on Ral .
Take care Margret .

Thanks for all the good advice.
My friend did an amazing job. She washed and polished all the kitchen cabinets while I decided what was to go. We covered a 12x3 feet bench with discarded kitchen stuff. I was very worried that I wouldn’t be able to get rid of it all. We invited neighbours and GD to take what they wanted, still a lot left Then my friend remembered a lady who does a lot of charity work around Ballarat.she took everything remaining.

Mab, please keep your eye on that bowel infection.

That would have been a sight to see Chookie. Sounds like a successful cull though.

It’s wonderful to know that your bits and pieces can go where they are needed Chookie.

Mab, I hope you are feeling a little better.

The most difficult cull will be my cooking books. I have near to 500 now. Ridiculous I know. I subscribe to Dish magazine and have since their first publication. I also have a complete set of AWW books. The soft covered ones.
Odd job man and son will be coming today.
