Chookie you will have a very busy time but lots of fun cooking with a friend.

That will be fun Chookie. Cooking lots and letting others eat it.

Enjoy Chookie .
Well Jerry stayed one day and gone now ! He must be not that far away ! He was very friendly . We will miss him but not much I can do , a collar will only get hooked up on something . At least he is fixed and can’t populate that’s a good thing . Ester day I went to our quilting group , it was great to catch up and plan another charity quilt for the year . Stewed lots of pears to go into the freezer . .

Supermarket shopping this morning.  I got caught in a heavy rain on the way back to the car and came home soaked through.

Inspired by K Atie and her quilting group I decided to do some work on a quilt that has been sitting around for about 2 1/2 years.  I had run into some problems when joining it up and put it away in disgust.  My eyesight is not as good as it was so I am going to have to be a bit patient this time.

Nice that I inspired you . It would give me great joy to accomplish a quilt , one day , meanwhile I’ll do my patch . Not much today but had parent teacher interviews tonight on line ., not many more of these left .

K Atie, are you or your group involved in the quilting show in Maldon over Easter?

No we just make a quilt a year for our chosen local charity . Others make for themselves as well but give to family. We help each other , some of us love knitting too . I always use to ask DM where I went wrong! So now I’ll have to ask the girls .

I’ve been patiently waiting for it to rain. We have only had 3.6mm all year. Not good at all. I’m also keeping an eye on my dragon fruit flowers as I think I will have to pollinate them.

Cookie did you get many dragon fruit last year . Feeling unwell this morning so I’ll take it easy but so much to do it all just looks daunting. DS has heaps of practical SAC work to do . Also English and others all week . Each one is another step closer to the finish .

Love handmade quilts. KAtie and Mab, go for it. I have bought handmade quilts in both Beijing and Norway.
Yesterday spent morning with Solicitor and afternoon with eye specialist. Said I won’t need glasses  after second eye done next Wednesday. Perhaps for reading. Just those cheap magnifying ones.
DS stayed overnight. Has discovered that the a local SD bakery called 16/18 sells the best Hot X buns. They are the closest I have tasted to the ones that I make. The texture and spice is just right. I’m tempted to not make any this year.

Cookie, your rainfall (or lack of) must be a problem. Are you on water restrictions at any time of the year?  Ours has improved a bit on previous years and we’ve had no restrictions for a few years now.

Chookie, with what you already have on your plate for Easter it sounds like a good idea to buy your Easter buns this year if they’re as good as those you make.  Great news from the eye specialist.

Good luck with re-commencing your quilting project Margaret, I love the work that quilters do but I wouldn’t have the patience to do anything like that myself.

K Atie, I hope you're feeling yourself soon. Time out now would pay dividends in the long run.

I’ve been for a massage at the Wellness Centre this morning, it was the best one I’ve had anywhere. I’m now doing 3 gym sessions a week and having a massage every 6 weeks or so.

We didn’t get any fruit last year KAtie.
Chookie I tried the cheap glasses but didn’t like the quality of them. I ended going to OPSM and getting a pair made. I only need them when the light is very poor or if my eyes are extremely tired. It’s great.

My nephew’s wife went into labour very early this morning. I’ve just heard (about 16 hours later) that she is to have a caesarean. Poor girl.

I fell over today. I’m quite ashamed, I feel that puts me into the elderly bracket. 🥺🥺🥺🥺I bent to pick up a parcel at the front door and somehow over balanced. I went head over turkey. DD was here, in bed ill, so I yelled for her. My watch wanted to call for help but I said I was ok. I’m all bruised down my RH side, even my breast! I don’t think anything broke. My left wrist is painful but ok I think. DH had gone to York to pick up a vintage trailer. I still managed to cook dinner. 😀😀

Sorry to hear that cookie, we’re all aware of the fact that we’re in the age group where tumbles can happen but even if we’re careful they can just happen. I hope you haven’t broken anything, fingers crossed all will be well.
