Good morning, just catching up.
Mab, I hope your back is better, and how lovely to sit by a camp fire. . Marina, I can’t believe that happened. KAtie, congratulations on DS 18 th.
Went to Melbourne with DD. She was attending an in service. On Friday, walked around town.  Haven’t done 10000 steps in a long time. Bought very little. Friday night whole family, ( there are only 8 of us) had dinner at hotel to celebrate DD birthday. It was nice to see GC all dressed up and behaving in such a formal setting
. On Thursday night we arrived late in Melbourne. Looked for somewhere to have dinner. Noticed Farmers Daughter Deli/ Restaurant. We had the most interesting and delicious meal. I’m going to try and make the Roasted Cauli and Macadamia nut dish. I’ll let you know how I go.

How lovely Chookie. At our age we really don’t need anything, especially household goods.

Having said that yesterday I spent several hours browsing a website which pops up in my feed all the time. I bought 13 items, some were little things in quantities which I can share with friends and the prices were really good. Temu is the name of the site if anyone is interested. Someone asked  on our local FB page if anyone had used them, being wary I guess but she was given the thumbs up that they’re genuine so I decided to have a look myself. Can’t wait to receive my parcel to see what I’ve bought.

Judy, I saw that site today. Lots of small interesting things. Let’s know how you go.
I’ve had some success with trying to copy that Roasted Cauliflower and Macadamia recipe. It was served with burrata, but I think it could be a side with any protein or even added to a simple cream soup.
Also Judy, I was wondering if you could manage thePotted Alpine Trout.   I’ve never made Potted Prawns but I think this is similar.  It was certainly delicious.

That looks delicious Chookie. I love Burrata.
I had planned to vacuum today but my vacuum needed the filters washing. DH cleaned the gas fire as it's getting cool here. For West Aussies any way.

Chookie, I don’t know in advance how I would go with anything until I tried it, barring pureed soup.

Some how I messed up the photo of the Caul dish. I’ll have another go.

I just remembered that I meant to pop up this photo. It is of the group from our Model A car club who did the run to see the giants.

Not a lot of members attended that run as it was cold.

It’s great doing it with a group of members cookie, it couldn’t have been too cold as you’re all wearing short sleeves, matching T-shirts is a nice touch.

The roasted cauli and macadamia nut dish looks interesting, Chookie

I agree with Judy, Cookie, the weather certainly didn't look very cool at the giants!

Good morning. all.
Cookie, what a lovely photo.
Yesterday, Gym and baked RTE cake, Almond and lemon, for the palliative care nurses.
Faced up to ironing 2 large table clothes that I had hidden out of sight.
Red light on car that I didn’t know what it was, so drove to dealership who sorted it out.

That RTE cake is delicious, Chookie, I am sure the palliative care nurses appreciated it.  I must bake it again sometime soon.

The Quince Jelly is out of this world. Unfortunately I can’t have much. Most given away. Great fun making it though.
Trying a different exercise group class today.
It is very cold in Ballarat. They say the max temp will feel like 6 degrees.

Well done to your DS, K Atie.

I had to make an unscheduled run up to Guildford to await the plumber who came to assess the new hot water system - our current system is a plumber's nightmare - our existing tank does our hot water, has a wet back off our Rayburn, hot water off a rooftop solar system and heats the underfloor heating as well - as I said, a nightmare.  He was very brave when he saw it, though, just went a bit pale!  Our new system will do the domestic hot water only, the wetback, solar and hydronic heating will have to be tackled by a different specialist.

2 hours to get up there, 2 hours waiting and with the plumber, 2 hours back then had enough hours left to do 2 hours at work as well.
