Cookie, sounds like you are slowly improving. That very good.
KAtie , busy as usual.
Today I attended 2 new exercise classes. These are funded by the Vic government via Ballarat council. The first was called a dance class. Not much dancing, just gentle exercises. Although at the end we did a routine to Dolly Parton, 9 to 5. The second was Tai Chi. Also gentle exercise. I liked these as I’m hopeless but others are even more hopeless.
Doesn’t leave much time for cooking!

These programmes can eat into your spare time Chookie but they are so worth it, getting out of the house, keeping fit and socialising is what it’s all about. So glad to hear you are enjoying it. I have 3 exercise classes and a massage so 4 visits to the Wellness Centre this week.

Mothers’ Day we went to The Grand Hotel at Glenelg for breakfast. Best buffet I’ve seen, mind you most of mine was the sweet stuff. I was surprised at how much variety they had in that line, equally impressed with the savoury section too but soft boiled and scrambled eggs were the only things suitable for me. It was really nice and we will be going back there for sure.

I have been suffering badly from plantar fasciitis for about 4 - 6 weeks now and make my second visit to a podiatrist tomorrow - I just hope he can help me as we travel in a couple of weeks and he reckons he can make me pain free before we go away.  My fingers are crossed.

Oh Marina, that is so very painful. One of the WA footballers was out for about 6 weeks with it. I do hope the podiatrist can help you.

I spent the latter part of my day waiting for DH to have a phone conference with out GP. He then had a script for antivirals sent to his phone and I was given the task of going out to get them. I’m the only one in the household who is negative for Covid at the moment.

Marina, I do hope you will be ok to travel.
Cookie, the phone consultations are a good thing to come out of COVID. Hope DH is ok.

Marina, that is painful, I do hope the podiatrist can help you with the problem.

We have had workmen from the NBN working out the front last week and this week.  The managed to cut off my internet so I had to go and have a word with them,  seems they managed to dig up the Telstra line, all fixed now.

Good luck with your podiatrist appointment Marina, it would be nice to have a pain free holiday.

It’s a good thing you were home whilst the workers were still there Margaret, once they move on it can be difficult to get them back sometimes.

Glad you're OK again cookie, just in time to help DH & DD with their bout now.

That isn't good at all Chookie. They should be amazing. I have developed dry eyes. I had a spot removed by my dermatologist right in the corner of my eye and the optometrist says that may have caused it. I need to make an appointment with my eye specialist to chat to him about it.

Nothing much here today. I did the grocery shopping yesterday.

Yesterday I took DH Ute to be serviced and collected his car . Then had to take my car to have new Tyers . DH rang to say sheep were out and I had to put on flashing lights so we could get them back to the correct paddock . There were other runs out to collect DH earlier . Cooked dinner and glad day over . Today back into town for meeting with DS teachers . Shops and home . Meanwhile DH stayed on the seeder and did the meeting in the tractor with us …

Chookie, I am so sorry to hear that about your eye, so disappointing, I hope there is something they can do to correct it.

We had our new hot water system installed yesterday - it turned out to be the job from hell - the plumber had to disconnect our very old (c. 50 years old) water tank that was linked to underfloor heating and the wet back on our Rayburn cooker before he could even start to install the new system.  I have been told I must not walk any distance at the moment due to my foot to give it a chance to heal so I was propped up on the sofa right next to the laundry (with the door firmly closed!) and I was hearing all the 'sound effects' coming from the laundry - water sloshing everywhere, banging, crashing, cursing, etc.  I was imagining all sorts of catastrophes but, at the end of a very long and arduous process they finally finished around 6.30 last night.  DH and I really felt sorry for them, but they did a good job and our new heat exchange system is wonderful and will be a huge improvement on our old hot water tank.

I was surprised to read of your eye problems Chookie as I’ve never heard anyone who has had cataracts removed has had problems down the track. Good luck with your appointment, hopefully they can tell you why and fix the problem.

Marina, that would have been an interesting ‘rest’ whilst the workers were getting the job done. Good to hear it all worked our well and your problem has been fixed, they certainly worked a long day to achieve that.

Marina, sounds like it was well worth the effort.   Look after your feet. I’ve bought some exercise shoes. Brand Brooks. The podiatrist said they were very good.it’s what he wears.
Eyes will be ok with glasses.he warned me to be aware that 1 in 4 people who have the Cateract op will develop a shadow over the lens. Can be removed . Can happen anytime .
Finally finished all the papers relevant to Ral. So many that had to be copied and certified. G
