Cookie, what great memories. Thanks for the lovely photos.
Today is rather special for me.  I have no appointments and nothing that must be done. It has taken 7 months to get to this since shifting in.

I love days like that Chookie, it’s nice to slow down the pace of life occasionally - you’ll find something to do even if it’s relaxing with a book. I had a free long weekend and found I did little jobs that weren’t that important but needed doing plus I spent a lot of time watching all the football matches that were on.

Enjoy your time away cookie, I love your trips which include visiting places which bring back memories of the past.

Chookie, it is nice to have some time to yourself, enjoy

Cookie, I love looking at old stone churches so much nicer than the modern ones.

Yesterday DS came in and fitted two new ceiling light in the kitchen for me.  It is so much brighter now.

This afternoon I am going into hospital for a gastroscopy.  My recent CT scan showed something  unusal in my eosogphagus  so I am having it checked out.

Hope all goes well Mab.
Exercise class today. I’m into my 10 th week now and can start to feel the difference.
Yesterday wasn’t the day I expected.  I had visitors most of the day.  My gardener and his wife called in for a social visit. While here he dug out some bushes so I can establish a herb garden in my very small backyard. I’ll make a raised bed so l don’t have to get on the ground.

Thank you Judy and Chookie for you good wishes.  No answers to my problem yet but still more tests to be done.

Supermarket shopping this morning.

Fingers crossed for you Mab.
We have had 2 glorious days at Gladstone Bay. No power, no fresh water and basically no digital coverage. The days were warm and cloudless, the nights lovely and cool. It is an unofficial place to camp. Just a spot on the coast. There was about 50 vans there but spread over 10 or more acres. No near neighbours.

Cookie, perfect. What a good setup you have.
Yesterday I had an appointment with my Diabetes nurse.  She said the recent test results and the previous ones suggest that technically I’m not a diabetic. I’m taking pills and she suggested that they could be reduced or even removed. I’m seeing a specialist soon so shall discuss this with him. This is also relevant as I haven’t consciously been following a diabetic diet over the last year. Today I’m cooking bread for a friend.

That’s good news Chookie, keep doing what you're doing then.

A quiet getaway cookie, bet you miss your devices when way out there though. These free camping venues are very popular.

Thanks KAtie.
Packing to go away for a week. Friend is taking me on a driving holiday. We are going to stay with a friend at Wangaratta and use this as a base to look at the painted silos in her area and visit Beechworth and Bright.

Chookie, enjoy your trip with your friend.

DD and all the family came for afternoon tea yesterday as it was my birthday.  It was also our GGS 1st birthday.
