That’s a long recovery Marina, as hard as it must be you’d better do what the specialist says or it might be even longer.

Margaret I know how much a cut finger bleeds after slicing a corner off one of mine with a mandolin slicer so I sympathise with your episode. Do you give the slicer the thumbs up after all that trouble?

Chookie I have a never ending supply of chives which can now be put to good use.

Marina such a long recovery but it will be worth it. You are doing very well.
Mab, your poor finger. Take care.

Oh Mab, that's terrible.  Hope it heals up soon.  I once sliced off a wee bit of one of my fingers and the skin has grown back, but there is no feeling in it.

When you sorted the slicer out, did you find it worked OK?  I was thinking of possibly getting one, but I am not sure that it is worth it.

Mab, feel for you. I think as cooks we have all done this. Very annoying.
Yesterday I bought a a new BBQ. It’s a Ninja electric withAF  and smoking attachment. They were designed for use on balconies for people living in appartments. It will live in my new garden room on the table as it’s not very large. I can serve from it.

I checked it out and it looks good Chookie. I can see you out there doing your thing on a beautiful day.

That sounds like fun Chookie. I will have to Google it as we enjoy smoked fish.
Today we had a Model A coffee run. We took one of our cars that doesn’t have windows. It poured just after we left home. I managed to hold a piece of Perspex up but didn’t realise that my backside was getting drenched. I copped a bit of friendly teasing about it.

Ha ha cookie, I hope it wasn’t too cold a day as I’m sure you didn’t take a change of clothing.

Today I spent hours in Aldi, Woolies and Drakes checking out gf food. Interesting and I bought quite a few of them. I was impressed with Drakes as GF products had a blue label so it made it much easier to find them throughout the store.

Grocery shopping this morning.  A telephone appointment with one of my specialists this afternoon.  He is happy so I am happy.

Tat sounds positive, Mab.

Still isolating with COVID (I have been exiled to Guildford) - it's not as bad as I was afraid of, I am still miserable, but it just feels like a really horrible head / chest cold.

Cookie, I know I shouldn’t laugh but I did. I always envy you your coffee runs.
Oh Marina, I hope you are coping .
It has turned bitterly cold again. So I’ll make more jam today. I carry a few jars in my car. If someone does a good deed or looks a bit unhappy I give them a jar. Yesterday I gave a jar to the man on the checkout at IGA. He is disabled and always tries to please. I also gave some quince paste to the Indian couple who run my favourite fish shop. The wife opened the package immediately and took a bite. We both laughed. I think I made her day.

Chookie you are so generous and the recipients must love receiving your produce. Did the Indian lady know how we use the paste?

Chookie that is so lovely. You must cheer up so many people.
It’s cold and wet here today so I haven’t done very much at all.

Chookie you are such a generous person.
Today I finished vaccuuming the house, I just don't seem to be able to do it all at once these days.
