Oh the day continues

We have a new foster boy coming for the weekend which will be interesting.

Then get a call asking if we coukd have our other boy for the school holidays as where he has been living for the last 9 years with his siblings is coming to an end, the carer no longer wants the kids. They are hoping to find him a new home during this time & if they dont.........

Oh My.  :o

I know oh my :o

Its not that we dont want him. Its hard its school holidays, whatever cp & I want to do he will have to come, it sounds bad but it gets very costly too. CP has a bg santa sack already done, eb cant not have one, go to the movies  & out fr lunch, it all adds up. Spent a small fortune last ime he was here in the holidays & that wasnt 6 weeks.

We are booked & fully paid in a fine dinng restaurant for christmas lunch. We will have to pay for hm too.

My heart says we must have him & then of course there is mil, who knows whats happening there. Already old them if we take him on he might have to go into emergency care. We like ths boy a lot but of course he has issues.

Its all very sad for him.

There has to be more than one carer, or foster carer where you live.

Explain about your MIL being sick as well.

That's a bit sad for the young boy after 9 yrs with the same family and very hard on you, my sister is a foster mum to 3 kid's her latest one came to her after the same thing happened the family didn't want him anymore he is 16 and luckily went to school with my niece so she already knew him, if she didn't it was a group home situation, I hope things work out for you all xxx

Oh my goodness Halex, all you can do is do what's right for your family as they come first.
Don't commit to something that you might regret down the track as this boy needs stability.
What a hard decision for you to make.

We are discussing it, also negoiating terms etc.

Yes very sad for the lad, it would be like taking cp away from us, he wouldnt cope at all.

The boy is a nice boy, loves staying with us etc.

Its a hard decision, the boys play nicely together & it does give me peace too.

Oh Hally, sending hugs hope MIL is ok, as the other said sleep on it before making decision.

My day started out great, but went down hill at lunch time, dropped a Ltr bottle of oil on the kitchen tiles again, not happy, all the things I had planned to do before going back to work didn't happen, then after work my work back fell over with water bottle leaking into my bag, which happened to have my iPhone in it, I think the phone is ok outside of case was wet. Think I will go to be before anything else happens.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

What a day, I read somewhere that if you put your phone into rice it will absorb any moisture
