Chookie, how scary. Been there done that. 2 weeks before we were getting married too. I had all the wedding stuff packed and in the car. Wasn't worried about anything else, everything else could burn, but I was getting married no matter what :D

I hope the fire isn't threatening homes. Please take care xxx

Astarra i hope miss 3 improves and you get some sleep

Hope it drys a little for your walks with chance cc

Cookie lovely sunset..

Good luck katie..jd Solar panels are worth it.. My folks havent paid for an électricity Bill in âges but think they have 3kw system too.. Not sûre.. Alot of panels on roof..

I guess it dépends on your électricity costs but if you have a pool or Spa or your costs are high it certainly seems worth it..

Chookie - so glad everything was ok . . still a nasty experience to have to evacuate.  It's raining heavily in my part of Sydney right now  - you'd be more than welcome to it! And I daresay Qld would be more than happy to send their lot down your way, too . . . Glad you're safe . . .

Thanks for the good wishes but the season isn't over yet.   DG I had to laugh,  Our local TMX consultant got into a real tizz and could only think to put the TMX on the car.

Chookie, you and your DH so have your act together when it comes to problems like this.  I take my hat off to you and hope some heavy rains come your way very soon so that you can once again relax and not have to live in evacuation mode.  :-* :-*

Oh dear Chookie, what an awful time for you... :-\

CC, I can't imagine wading through that, I'd stay home by the fire and put Chance on a treadmill.

Beautiful sunset cookie!

astarra, sometimes you wonder when you'll ever not feel tired again. Hope little one is much better.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Fingers crossed this hot spell will end soon and the fires don't get any worse. Apparently it's 30 years ago today since the Ash Wednesday fires, thankfully weather conditions are not as bad as then.
This morning we took the dog for a walk, let him off the lead for the first time and he loved it! Then went to MIL's for lunch, the girls are staying overnight as I've got a rare night out with friends - dinner & a concert. Long drive home from MIL's so now I'm just relaxing on the couch & enjoying the quiet before getting ready to go out.

Glad everything is well chookie. Not a nice thing to go through. You never said, did you pack your thermie in the car too? I don't think I could live without it either, but it's probably not the most important thing to take.

Today was a day of the three C's.

Glad all is ok Chookie.

Hope you had a wonderful night out with your friends Dee.

Just a big day of housework yesterday - at about 2pm I was considering getting my cleaner back but now that it is all nice I guess I have an extra $76 to spend in Hawaii.

Today it's a morning in the garden and then out for a late lunch at Swansea - the club has nice meals and I love watching the bridge opening up for the boats to go through.  :D
