We just haven't managed to cultivate any friendships of that type since moving hear 3 years ago.  :( Most of the people I know through exercising are younger and have young families and I am not interested in socialising with my work colleagues. DW just works and comes home so she has not really developed any friendships and as a school Principal she doesn't feel comfortable socialising with her staff or parents.

l loved those stampin up stamps , there so versatile , l had so much fun with them
since  having ds4 and starting back at work  l dont get around to doing  crafty stuff much now

a camp site at ellendale pool  up the coast of WA . is where l learnt how to do iris folding
my husband saw a note on her door saying handmade cards for sale
so we went to say hello and a beauiful friendship was made  , that was about 8 years ago and we still keep in contact today

Lovely to hear from you Nazar.

Den it is so hard isn't it. I fully understand where your wife is coming from. In some country towns we were looked upon as 2/3/4 year tourists.

Oh, it is a principal or registrar of the feminine variety that has stuffed up is it? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Yes it is Cookie. I service 35 schools (8 of Independent Public Schools) of that I only have 3 male Registrars/Business Managers, one just started his first day today. Most of them are pretty good but there are a few who just don't get it.

I amaze myself with my patience some days.

Yesterday and today on full fire alert. I got the text message from FESA yesterday to say I had to leave, but our plan is to stay and defend. My hubby did some 4wd-ing (not in a 4wd!  :o ) through pine plantations to get home the back way as all the roads were closed yesterday. The girls' bus was cancelled so they were kept at school until we could get down and pick them up.
The wind dropped last night, but the fire is still out of control, I'm just hoping that the easterly doesn't come in hard and fast thismorning or there'll be trouble for the firies.
No houses have been lost, those firies are just amazing and the guys in the air too. Hats off to them all.

Take care Nikkit.

Den, you will just have to go and make some new friends, what about Rotary Clubs, or Lions something like that.

Or start a thermomix club...
