I just got home from a 30 minute exercise circuit at the atheletics ground and had to tell my mum to stop ironing. She finally did and then fell asleep within 10 minutes of sitting on front of the TV. I worry about how she is going to go while I am away at the weekend retreat, she just pushes herself so much

Gert, I only have one jar of anchovies, but I beat you on the bottles of oil, vinegar and sauces. I have another whole cupboard of those. It's next to the one full of cans!

Because we moved house twice last year there are fewer tins in the larder  than there were!

This holiday house has nothing. The last few holiday houses we have stayed in have had some basics: salt, pepper, sugar, oil etc. And equipment to make things. Here there are just 2 pans and a roasting tin.
No way I can make a birthday cake for Friday for DH. Will make one after we get home.

This house also has DVD player and video but nothing to put in them!
An increase of 5' on the thermostat is beginning to mAke a difference to the damp also.

Been to Bamburgh castle today, very good soup in the cafe. Poor DH most unwell so we are back home again.
Severe manflu.
Going to make ham rolls and tinned soup for supper, followed by icecream. All he can manage with awful sore throat.

He has Gotta to be well for DD graduation on Tuesday.

We went out for tapas, ddnt eat too much, came home, an hour later in pain & bed again. Seems to me I get sick when I eat.

So maybe no food fir a few days. Horrible bug.

Halex. Sorry to hear this. Make sure you get enough fluid. electrolytes eg Diaroralyte sachets or lucosade sport type drinks if not eating.
Think seeing a doctor a good idea. So glad your  DH is doing good.

My DH very unwell with aches, fever and nose like a tap.

Trying hard not to catch it. Last one he had I escaped. Using different hand towels etc.

At least he doesn't have to go to work and can rest.

My task tomorrow morning is to find someone to do my hair on Tuesday morning. A trim and proper blow dry to look good for DD on Tuesday.

Made Pasta and vegetable bake and chickpea patties.
I hope the bake is OK. I still have another jar of cheese sauce but will have to leave that as DH likes having them in the pantry just in case even if they don't taste that great.
Did get rid of of 3 tins, a jar and pkt of pasta out of the pantry.

DH making me tea, his new sifted variety. I will drink it nicely.
