Hope you are feeling better SE things can only improve.
I have been cleaning out the draws and cupboards in my bathroom, amazing what you find hidden in the back of the cupboards. Been very ruthless and chucked heaps out.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

Jeninwa good on you. I badly need to do that in all rooms, but I find better things to do, like cook, and convince myself it is more important.

Oh hally you must have a limit.. These people are very blatantly using you.. No other way to put it.. Rude ignorant mean stingy ppl get no respect from me.. If you let ppl walk all over you they will just find a way to keep doing it...i learnt that the hard way.. Whistles going off everywhere!!! I would never normally throw anyone out just grin and bear it but sorry these ppl sound like they need a good kick up the @#\!@? Still each to their own... Your house and you have to live with them..

I am cutting up cheese to take to our room, yes I know...  But more comfortable there!!!  She says I want some, I said serve yourself & walked off.

Dh says I  am getting god at barking orders ;D

Oh Hally - what a nightmare you are going through!  :o
Glad to hear it's nearly over for you. Do cp and lr have Guitar Hero that they can play really loud and early? If not, you can borrow ours!  ;) ;D
In all seriousness though, you should be very proud of yourself and the way you have handled the situation by not stooping to their level. Enjoy your wine and cheese in your "safe room"!  :-*

This thread has somehow turned into a novella of our times....

ES hope you feel better soon, pity about the food... Well As we all know **** happens.

Hally, one day you'll come back and read this and find it is so awful it actually makes funny reading. None of us will ever top it, or would want to. Poor all of you, at least you and DH are able to sneak away for a midnight feast.

My day very dull in comparison, cooking, baking bread, ironing, an hours walk and of course working on the soon to be finished blanket.

Watched quantum solace tonight on DVD and had popcorn to try to break up the monotony of convalescence.

Tomorrow I have just discovered is the Golden wedding of some old friends, so I shall bake them something and take it round.

The fruit ones were fine, but I couldn't work out why my chokkie ones didn't rise........until I woke up in the middle of the night and realised that I can't remember adding the yeast!!!!!!!
It always amazes me how we can wake from a deep slumber,  with  ideas & answers!.....just shows how active our minds still are.
ES...it can only get better......have some bubbles and try to laugh  ;)

Just a thought....it's easy for us to tell Hally to kick her guests to the curb, but in reality that is a very hard thing to do, particularly when Hally & family have manners, are polite, and always seem to be gracious hosts.......it's nearly over H.....hang in there  ;)

Today I'm preparing everything for tomorrow's lunch...I really am tired of how I leave everything to on the day of....time to change  :P
Boys out all day at footy, so peace until I catch up with a friend later for some bubbles & cheese no doubt  ;D
.........EAT CAKE!
