Happy Easter am so please everyone is enjoying themselves.

Today we planted parsley, basil, coriander and some ground cover in the fernery. I asked DH for a kafir lime tree at the nursery and he said no we don't know where to put it and do we really need a tree for the leaves. Have said yes and font ask me what i want if i cant have it! We already have a Tahitian  lime tree. Have since cracked it with him. Will have tree by end of week ;)

Do you use the limes Obbie? I have a very mature tree and the leaves are wonderful but the limes are yuk.

Mich -  try zesting the limes and using that.  Also, what little juice you can get is good too . . .

I saw a program once (can't remember which one atm) where he cut the lime and just threw the pieces into whatever it was he was making (how's that for specifics . . ;D ;D)

Thanks GF. There is very little juice in the limes as they are so small. Will use the zest - thanks for the suggestion.  :D

Good for you Kimmyh, he will love the flavour from the leaves and realize what a good buy it was totally different to Tahitian lime.

Congrats on your freedom Hally - hope you enjoy it as you have certainly earned it.   Are they still on your Christmas card list ?  ;) ;)

I wish we could grow lime trees in our garden - I'd love to be able to go and pick fresh lemons and limes... I know our snow looks so wonderful for you down under but, to me, your climate is certainly very attractive, especially at the moment.

Gorgeous photo Katya.
Welcome back to sanity Hally

I haven't done much today. A bit of reading to try and finish my book club book. A quick trip down to Rockingham and back, we used all the back roads to avoid the holiday traffic. This morning I stewed some plums and made some soup, for lunch.

Hally in UK we do take presents when staying or going or a meal.
Wine, choc, flowers, something made or something else.
So glad you've survived.
Put it down to experience... ( of the wrong kind) !!!!

These trees sound exotic.
Must do some shrub pruning now spring is here.

Thanks girls. Don't worry, it will happen ;)
Am thinking of putting it in a decorative pot (yet another purchase - will make him pay for the delay!!!!). Do you have them potted or in the ground?
