Just getting up to tidy the house and finish laundry.
It's unrewarding about what everyone's doing.
Off to church for carols at 4 pm today to get us in the christmas mood.

Happy Christmas Eve from UK.

I've missed being on here much today - finally able to once the shower lady turned up.

Had a great day with DD1 and her family + Mum - scored some nice presents as I always do.  I usually go for the small ones first and this photo will show what the small one was and why it was given.  The knife block is Royal Doulton with Gordon Ramsay's name attached and if I do cut myself, I will probably use one of his favourite words  ;)

Someone has a good sense of humour. That looks like an impressive knife set JD.

Fancy getting a decent knife set at aged 66 Kimmy - I know I needed a decent carving knife but a whole set  :o  I'm going to have to slow down a bit when I use them, boy are they sharp.

Lovely present Judy.  Yes be careful, we don't want you hurting yourself and being out of action.

A busy day cooking here like everyone else.
Just back from hospital seeing baby Jackson.
A worrying 24 hours as he was taken to special care unit with a high temp and abnormally high respirations yesterday:(
Was put on IV antibiotics as he has an infection. Blood tests all good and he is  much better tonight thankfully.  :D
I had the kids so that my SIL could stay with DD as they were both very stressed.
I had sleepless night last night but feel very relieved now as his nurse said he is fine but has to stay there until the 48 hours are up.
SIL's mother arrives from Zimbabwe tomorrow so hopefully  DD and baby get home tomorrow night.  :)

It is good to hear that your DD's babay is ok. It must have been stressful for everyone.

I have been doing the last minute cooking. Finished putting up DD's party lights and then did the final shopping while DW had a facial.

Thanks Suzanne  :D
It was awful. We were all so worried.
Poor DD has to stay in hospital tonight. She has gone home now for 3 hours to spend Christmas eve with the kids and going home again at 6am tomorrow morning to be there for them. I was going to stay with baby tonight but hospital rules are that only the parents are allowed to stay in special care unit.. I just didnt want him being there without one of us but rules are rules. DD still went home but will now only stay 3 hours. I went with my iPad prepared to stay till 10pm tonight..
Thankfully his nurse said he is fine now.  :D
Hope you and your family have a great Christmas. We will miss our DD but we will have the kids some of the time as they love being with their cousins  :)

Glad baby Jackson is doing better MF. Same thing happened to my second son too. Very scary waiting for blood test results. Hope you sleep better tonight.

Lucky DW Den.

Judy we received a lovely knife block for  our engagement present and we still use it today. It came with a coin in the box apparently to combat the myth it's bad luck to give a couple knives :)
