Peaceful day....DS at the beach, DS at sleepover so I tackled  some very overdue paperwork.
Tomorrow will be a stinker with high wind, Hubby will be at the fire station all day, so we'll be working out a fire plan (just in case) tonight.
....everyone will be on high alert, so hopefully people use their smarts!....amazing though, how people can be a whole lot of stupid on these days  :-))

Fires are a big worry when it's windy.

This morning we 'popped' over to a car club members place for 5 minutes. Lucky his wife and I are good friends as several hours later DH remembered that we had to go into the city. We eventually got in there, but no chance to look around. Next cool change I will though. Picked up my ancient LV wallet that had a bit of R and R and it looks a million dollars. Fine for the next 10 years now.

Maddy, I hope everyone is sensible tomorrow and your DH has a quiet day with no fires. Our forecast is 44C here tomorrow. My kids are doing Vacswim at the beach - it was lovely this morning but the wind blew my beach umbrella inside out:(
Hopefully it won't be too hot on the beach tomorrow morning.

I say we do as little as possible tomorrow ES and thank goodness for air conditioners - my greatest fear on a day like that is a power failure  :-))

Good idea JD. If we lose power we will head for the library and cross our fingers it doesn't last too long as my freezer is full!

Radiotherapy not working, they wont do chemo, nothing  they can do apart from help with the pain. :-\.  She is on so much med she is nt with it a lot of the time. Her head is covered with the lumps & her bones riddled with cancer >:(

Oh, me too Judy!
Every summer hubby needs to  fix something on ours, so it's a mad dash to Melbourne to get parts....so his wife doesn't turn into Godzilla :P

Can you believe, our duckhead neighbour is using a chainsaw at the moment  :o....hugely irresponsible on a total fire ban day!  Stupid is what stupid does  :-))  and hubby has just flown up there with stern words.

Hally....so sorry  :(. I was a little older than cp when my Grandfather was in hospital, and honestly, I wish I hadn't seen him that way....he was crying in pain and that image is still ingrained in my mind  :'(
It's a tough call.
