Cookie, I saw The Great Gatsby on Friday, but I couldn't cope with Leonado as Jay Gatsby. Loved the costumes, but didn't love the movie. Didnt hate it either , however, I saw a great French romantic comedy yesterday called Happiness Never Comes Alone. Almost fell off my seat laughing in places. Plot was predictable, but it was well acted and the leading lady was so beautiful - I wish I looked as good as her :-\
Snappy, I hope your son copes Ok with the cast and has no permanent damage - it must have been such a shock.
Mab, I hope things improve for your grandson and you - it's a difficult situation.

Sorry to hear about your ds Snappy.  Hope he recovers quickly.

Had to see GS teacher today.  He is not behaving very well and is quite disruptive in class as well as telling lies and taking things that don't belong to him.  It's a worry and we still don't know what is going to happen with him yet.  We have court next Tuesday.

Mab I have no idea about your problems but however big or small I hope the situation improves for you soon.

Snappy, your poor poor darling :( Hope he gets well soon.

Mab, good luck for Tuesday.

My little man played very well today. He played a lovely little waltz by Chopin, and managed it without making any mistakes. Phew! He was very disappointed that he didn't get any prizes though. His teacher had already explained to him that it's very tough to win competitions with Chopin, especially when they are young. Still a great learning experience for him :D

DS11 and DS14's turns tomorrow night. They are having a showdown in the same section. Hahaha.

Feeding a Lamb this morning. DH brought it home from work last night (what do they say about not bringing your work home with you? ;D )
Anyway he's going to a new home this morning as I don't have time to rear a lamb this year now I'm starting work soon. :)
He's still cute though :)

ES I had no problems      with LC as I have never seen him in a movie before. I thought he was an excellent actor. I haven't seen Titanic or any of his others. I don't seem to go to the movies very much nowadays. I should make the effort.
Like you I loved the costumes and I also loved the cars. It made my decision of a 1920's outfit for next years National Model A rally even harder.

I love Leonardo DiCaprio. One of my favourite movies is "Catch Me if You Can". He plays the role brilliantly.  8)

having my coffee machine serviced and what do you know instead of $300 its blown out to $600 an internal leak has caused some corrosion so replacing a lot of different parts,  that's what you get when you buy a $3000 coffee machine I guess ::)

I think Gert has the same brand as you Suzanne and loves it. She says the coffee is hot - the main reason I got rid of the Delonghi machine I had, just didn't make the coffee hot enough.

We have a nespresso pod machine now - perfect for us, DH loves it (first tried it at Cookies place) probably not for the coffee connoisseur but suits us.
