Went to buy net curtains, we now have clear glass in the bathrooms as we only have fields to look out into and no neighbours,
The B and B rooms have ensuite without windows.
They need shortening but will have to wait until I have a clean table to work at and can get at my sewing machine.
Also bought a packet of screws - the wrong size- a can of squirty fix it foam, a newspaper and a tank of fuel.

That is the longest I've been away from the property for a month.

Tonight am home alone with no TV or chairs so am in bed with the iPad, but not enough broadband to watch iplayer sadly.
Next two days am here all the time, then I hope to be able to go get groceries on Tuesday. The amount of tea bags used is phenomenal!

Managed to grab a quick 5 minutes on the forum just now.

It was indeed wonderful meeting Jo yesterday - she is a very lovely lady and living in a thermomix desert - no one else near her with a TMX, but she is loving her machine and really adventurous trying everything.  We grabbed a coffee and had a natter in a cafe overlooking Wellington harbour - very pleasant.

I am still in NZ - head back to Aussie on a 6.00 am flight tomorrow morning!!

Straight to work no doubt too Marina?  I'm so glad you made the time to catch up with Jo, those New Zealanders don't know what they are missing out on by not having a TMX.  Good on you ground breaker Jo, thank goodness you found our forum.

Just home from a weekend of carnage at Jurien with an Extreme 4WD comp. My brother (driver) and hubby (navi ) broke their truck,(my brothers truck - hubby's is still in pieces in the shed here)  something to do with diffs and pinion thingys (I am so terribly mechanical I just nodded, grimaced and said "oohhhhh".... I sounded like I knew what they were talking about)

Out of 20 trucks there were 4 left that could drive apparently. So lots of broken pieces (more of me going "yeah, oh darn, ooooo, no, gosh" nod nod  grimace)
Anyway it was a good weekend and the boys and their toys had lots of fun.

My hubby was drooling at a few of the bits on some of the trucks and I can imagine he'll be asking me for the cheque book next week so he can get his finished. All I can see is cubic dollars on pieces that go bang when he's climbing over rocks and up steep gravel hills.  :-))

I have just had another chuckle, thanks Nikkit. I could easily visualise the weekend. It sounds like they had great fun though.

Boys and their toys Nikkit,  we all about that one.... For a while it was rotavators bought on eBay and then found not to be in a great condition after. DD banned DH from eBay for quite a while after that!!!

Very wet here, and new windows going in now.
Dog jumped into veg garden just now,  Not good, didn't want him to realise he could jump for a wee while yet.

Good on you ground breaker Jo, thank goodness you found our forum.

I have to agree with that!!  I know I wouldn't be getting nearly as much out of my TMX without the forum full of recipes, advice and friendly people.   :-*

My gf who bought the TMX in Auckland has relegated it in the cupboard. She is currently living in London and has put it in storage!!!!

I kept telling her to bring it to Sydney on one of her many visits here and I would give her a few motivating lessons. I also emailed her some lovely forum recipes...all to no avail.
