You are lucky your DD has a job...mine is a tad lazy. May change her mind though if I send her off to work with her Dad.
So with no $$ she has no junk food.
And I am real good at raising my eyebrow at her when she asks for something like that when we are shopping. Or I say "read the ingredients list and then give me 2 good reasons why you still want that"!
(I must be the horriblest Mum in the world!!)

What is it with that metabolism thing.? Mine hit the road as soon as I fell pregnant and hasn't been seen since.  :-))

Gosh yes Marie those fires are very worrying. Hope everyone keeps safe.
Thanks for all your lovely messages, I'm not upset for myself I just feel for that poor family, such lovely people. DD sent her friend a message "sending all my love to you and your sister. Would you like to come trickle-treating (sic) with me to cheer you up?" I had to laugh at that - the response was "definitely!" Kids hey?

Nikkit the girls sound similar, mine is quite lazy but a part time job in our house is not negotiable unless you have some other commitment such as sport or other extra curriculum commitments of which DD has none. Saying that she is quite hooked on travel so needs the money to fund schoolers on the Gold Coast, a mystic festival in Tasmania and a trip to Cambodia in Feb! Does your DD know what she wants to do next year?

Deedub such a sad time but wonderful you DD has such a good friend to support. Hopefully they will be friends for life having both shared a. Terrible loss. All part of life's experience that will  help them grow into strong women.

Nikkit. I wonder how the frocking up went?

And COSTCO. BWAAAAAAA!

I saw in our paper today that Aldi are near to negotiating a warehouse space here and will open in 2016. I don't think I can wait that long.  :'( I guess I have too. The warehouse is near us so hopefully one of the stores will be too.

No news on Costco yet.  :'( :'(

At least you have something to look forward to Cookie and perhaps Cosco will come on board now they know Aldi are setting up business in Perth.

We are at MONA in Hobart. Absolutely stunning . Cannot use Tapatalk so fat with 4G but will try later. One of the most amazing places I have ever been and am taking a short break taking in the view as the art  works can be overwhelming .  This place needs a couple of visits to view it all .

We "frocked up" quite nicely thanks Gert!!, and hubby put on a suit as well - he reckons its not every day your daughter graduates, so he was going to look good. He did say to me a couple of times "mmm glad to see that Dad dressed up - not" about the blokes wearing jeans and t-shirts!
It was a nice night, we are very proud.

Enjoy Hobart Gert.

Like you Cookie - can't wait for some serious competition in the supermarket stakes, bring on Aldi! If it opens up down near you I'll call in for a coffee before I shop!  ;D

You will be more than welcome Nikkit.

When DD graduated from high school she took her father shopping for his shirt and tie. Her remark was that all his were so old fashioned. He is more a jeans and shirt guy but did wear a suit for her, with a new shirt and tie!

Gert it sounds like you are enjoying yourself. Great.
