Gosh Judy, that time passed very, very quickly. Your Mum will certainly be keeping an eye on you.

DD and I went to a shop she wanted to go to over the river tonight. We have heaps of smoke around again. We need a breeze to move it on.  You can just see the city skyline as we went over the Narrows Bridge. It’s very close, just lost in the smoke.

The year has certainly sped by Judy, I thought the image of her looking down on you was very lovely and touching.

I thought that something had gone seriously wrong ... not a thing for two days.  Glad to see that it is all OK.

Just sorting through my wardrobe.  Getting ahead and looking for suitable clothes for Qld.  I have a choice of going in June or July with my DIL.  Staying with my GD.

That will be lovely Mab.
Marina I found it really wonderful that we are on the lookout for each other.
We have another 3covid cases. Originally from hotel quarantine. We are still wearing masks. I went to the hairdresser yesterday and when my hair was washed the lass wasn’t too careful and my mask ended up being saturated. As it dried while I had it on it started to smell. I couldn’t wait to get to the car and remove it. All washed and ready to go again.

Just catching up. Have been very busy here.
DS and DBI took us out for lunch. Lots of time in garden.  Cleaning up and planting peas.
Had our vaccine shots, no reaction at all.
Had problem with kitchen drawer and neighbour came and fixed it.   Also brought over some purple Kongo potatoes to try.
Judy, I can’t  believe that a year  has passed.
Cookie, nice shopping.
Mab, sounds like a lovely holiday coming up.

Finery two days ago I got to the GP and was given all clear to see DM , as was DD . After not seeing her for a month except a bit of FaceTime ( not lately ) . The best hug and love but the most sadist day , a very quick collect of DD to see her too . Cares are full time and nurses once a day . I’ve had not much sleep the last two days . My DM is so unwell we love her so much but this is going to be a very tough time . We are all sad . Yesterday I spent most of the day with her and the Carer , with family and grand kids popping in , she was a lot brighter , which was a bonus . I am writing this as a step to trying to be strong . I was told a when I was a young adult , home is were you are . This helps when I miss being home so much and my DS and DH .

Seeing her family would have been a huge boost for your Mum Katie, having full time carers is not the same as having a loving family around you but at least she has someone there to care for her. Hopefully you can reunite with DH & DS in the very near future

KAtie it is very hard when you are torn between a parent and your own family. You don’t have to be brave, she’d a tear or kick a door when you need to. Hopefully you will be able to see DH and DS very soon.
Chookie I’m pleased you had no reaction with your vaccination.
I had a very slack day today. Watched my footy team win too, which was lovely. (On tv)

Thank you Judy and Cookie . The carers are there so we can be family to mum , it means we are there for her and I am spending the day with her . Mum is just sleepy all the time now , it’s up and down . DS is very upset I hoping he  just remembers her how she was , it’s hard .
Today’s goal is for me to eat more !! The day just flys by and I forget , so that is stopping today .

K. Atie , very tough times for you.  Hang in there.
Today I was diagnosed wit Type 2 diabetes. I have been battling pre diabetes for 10 years. Dr. has put me on pills, minimum dose.
Cookie, I may need your help.  Please.
I thought I might have to buy some cooking books :D. However I found plenty that count carbs and  calories. Also some specific Diabetic ones.

Oh Chookie what a bugger. I have my check up due soon and am wondering if I will be put on medication. I have been lucky so far. I just try not to eat naughty things and have my carbs. It is such a different way of thinking. I'm sure you will be fine.

I strongly suspect I am not far behind you in that diagnosis, Chookie, I have been putting off visiting the doctor for a while but the last blood test I had earlier this year didn't raise any flags so hopefully I am worrying about nothing.
