Mab , there is a milk starting with S that has a high protein and basically has cream on the top ( good old fashioned milk) that is a really good . Advil is another sustagen one that apparently has less taste .
Made soup , went to Quilting .

Marina I'm thrilled that its over and you are home. We tend to think we would love to have to spend time in bed, but when we do we are bored. What a nuisance with the tremours, I will try to remember to ask DD if the anaesthetic etc could make them worse. Take all you medication and try to be a good patient. :) :) :) :) :)

I did my food shopping this morning and we're having our flu needles this afternoon., Yesterday we had the monthly coffee  run and last night was bookclub.

I have just about finished all my medication now, just the drugs for DVT which I will be on for another couple of weeks.  I am very lucky, I have had hardly any pain so have lots of very strong painkillers that I have never used (maybe I could make some profit going down the road and selling them to unsavoury characters!).  No, wouldn't do that.

I am surviving the lazy bit and will have a hard time when my life gets back to normal and I actually have to get up in the morning and go to work!  At the moment even getting up and having a shower leaves me totally drained - not a fun sensation.  DH has been fantastic, not only looking after me and dreaming up tasty food (I have totally lost my appetite) but also running the business - I couldn't survive without him.

Your DH is a star Marina.
I’m very proud of mine too at the moment. I had an awful reaction to my flu needle. I’ve never had one before. I was shaking with cold so went to bed early. Then started vomitting. Not fun. DH cleaned up and was very sweet. DD prescribed medication. 😀😀😀😀😀

That was an awful reaction to your flu shot, Cookie.  Hope you are settling down again.

Katie the milk starting with S is Sustagen and the hospital arranged for me to buy it a a reduced cost.  I have to add the neutral flavoured one to my food and drink any of the other flavoured ones that I like.

Marina, I am glad that everything is going well for you.  My DH did a good job while I was away too  fortunately the freezer had plenty of casseroles etc so he only had to do vegetables.

I had my flu shot today and Cookie I'm sorry to hear that you had such a bad reaction to your flu shot I hope I don't have the same reaction as you had.

No problems after my flu jab a few weeks ago, sorry to hear you had to suffer with yours cookie. That was certainly a bad reaction.

Margaret I’ve been on Sustagen for almost 4 years now and I love it. Like you, I use neutral in coffee, soups and some desserts and either choc or vanilla in my morning smoothie. I’ve been buying mine direct from Nestle but lately I’ve found Chemist Warehouse have been slightly cheaper or around the same price so I’ve bought the last 2 lots from them so that I don’t have to hang around waiting for delivery.

I’m feeling much better, thank you everyone. I’ve never had a reaction like that. I will discuss it with my GP next time I see him.
I went up to my local Westfield this morning. I’m glad it was this morning as there was a fight and a stabbing there late this afternoon. Not nice at all.

Another good way to use the TMX. When preparing a meal I save all the veggie and fruit trimmings and at the end of the day, mash them up with a bit of water. I tip this on to one of the raised garden beds.
