Yesterday was DMIL funeral. It was a big day . Today has been ok sorting some of the washing and we decided to take some of the beautiful flowers from the church to the nursing home for the staff and patients . It was nice to thank them and really say our goodbyes. I’ve washed t three if DS white shirts that he had with him at uni and new one I got for the funeral. Think two will be too small now . DD rearranged some of the flowers .

Cleaned and polished marble table top. Looks good now. As it’s outside will need continual attention. sat outside in my new garden room for morning tea. Worked exactly as expected.
Silly season has arrived and it’s hard to fit everything in.
DIL coming from Melbourne to pick me up and take to Apple shop at Highpoint. I’m getting new, phone, watch and iPad. Will spend a couple of nights with them.
Lunch out with Probus tomorrow.

Very exciting Chookie. I bought a new iPad a couple of months ago. I plan to get a new watch in the next couple of months. I get my new phone when DD upgrades hers.
I agree that silly season is here. We have a lunch to attend on Friday and then another on Sunday.

I wouldn’t mind a new iPhone , but not going to get the latest model as it’s AI generated , well AI is a no no for me . But apparently it is just one model so that’s fine for me . Early start as dropped DD at the train station by 7am , home DH was just up and had breakfast then off to do a shop . Also had to do a photo of me too . Was in ho slow mode today .

I had my hair cut this morning. I like how its cut very short, but I don't like the lady much. I can put up with her as it's a good haircut.

Ha, I also had a hair cut today.
Twice now, when shopping at Woolies, they have had only one register open. Both times, I’ve politely asked the manager if they could open another. They have opened another immediately.

I've got an appointment next week to get my hair cut - I like my hairdresser, but I really dislike the music they play in the salon so I can generally manage to put up with my hair so that I only get it cut 3 or 4 times a year.

That’s good Chookie. It’s happened several times at the Coles I go to and I asked, I was told no.  I was getting fed up so emailed Coles HO.  I now have the mobile number of the manager. I haven’t had to use it yet. 😀😀

What a day yesterday. gym , morning coffee with friends from gym , then DIL picked me up and we drove to Melbourne. DS and DIL then started the buying of my new I Watch, iPhone and iPad Pro. I would never have managed without their help. So many decisions. What  model, size, colour. Then transferring info from old to new. Apple at Highpoint is wonderful. The staff are professional and patient. I was by far the oldest person there.
I’m staying with family at what was our family home in Melbourne. It is 100. Years old this year. Thought it might feel strange but doesn’t.
Get to spend quality time with GC. GD doing double degree at RMIT in Computers and Engineering and GS has just completed year 11.
34 degrees in Melbourne today.

Enjoy your Melbourne family Chookie and all your new gadgets.
A one off very hot day here so out in the front garden very early to water and remove anything that’s had its day. I’ve made your My Favourite Quiche for our dinner tonight Chookie, will do the salad later.

Enjoy, Judy.
I’m absolutely exhausted. Apple bits everywhere. Now have new Watch, iPad and phone. New cases and screen covers . Everything moves toooo fast for this old chook. Thanks to DS and DIL everything works.
The other good news is that DS worked out how I can now get into my Blog. I haven’t been able to fix mistakes or post new recipes.
I return home today. I went shopping with DIL. In Newmarket there is a discount shop. It has a lot of Vegan and exotic groceries, very cheap . I bought lots of unusual things to try. I’ll let you know how I go.
