How special that is for you both . DH cleaned up fallen gum trees from the last storm, I had hoped that more would be done so I went out to help ! My Manchurian pear tree is still sad looking . Well DH came back and pulled out the broken branches , at lest give ! Did a bit of weeding and picked up twigs , all taken to the heap . Started on the vegetable garden that has a lot of baby silver beet and spinach plants . Had to stop as to hard soil . DH fixed some of the fence too .

I looked after my neighbours boys as their house is for sale. It was open for inspection . I was making bread sticks for garlic bread. I gave each a 1/3 of the dough. They made their own version. One plaited and one twisted.
My neighbours are Buddhists. On Friday they had a celebration, monks and all. I was invited. I was the only non Sri Lankan attending. Quite an honour. One of the monks told me that the message for the day was kindness.
And the food. Every type of curry you can imagine. And the sweets. The Date and cashew cake with chocolate sauce was decadent.

You’re going to miss your neighbours Chookie (and they’ll miss you too), are they moving far?

Judy, I will miss the sound and sight of the boys playing in the street and the balls coming over the fence. They will keep in touch I’m sure. They are shifting 5 minutes away.
DD made a crown for a tooth yesterday. The whole process took about 3 hours. I’d pulled a filling out with a mintie while on holiday.
GS tore a tendon from his Achilles ? Operated on yesterday. He is preparing for his year 12 exams. Even more upsetting he was to travel to Japan with friends to celebrate end of schooling.

Chookie that’s not good for your GS . Such a busy time for year 12 , all the best for the end of year 12 . I went to yoga yesterday , there was only 3 of us ! Lucky I mentioned how dizzy I’ve been so it was all adjusted for me , getting alot better now .

I’m sure your neighbours will keep in touch Chookie. They sound lovely.
I did the grocery shopping this morning. Yesterday I saw the GP re my scan results. He wants me to see an ENT  specialist as my left sinus isn’t drawing and still has infection. I guess it will take me ages to get in. 😢

Oops! Sinus isn’t draining. Stupid auto correct. 😀😀

May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Minties will always rip your fillings out Chookie, they should ban them 😁. I’m sure you’ll still be on your neighbours guest list, it has been a great relationship so far. I feel for your GS, what a disappointment missing his end of school holiday - terrible timing for him.
Good luck with an early appointment cookie.

Cookie, at least some action is being taken. It seems that you can be lucky with appointments. Depends on what has to be done.

Mab, that’s a kind gesture.
Hairdresser and visiting friend. It’s her 80th Birthday. I bought her a lemon squeezer. It’s designed by an Australian company and I have one and it’s fabulous.

I’ve got a new hairdresser. She is a single mum and works from home. Next Sunday 5 th ) I’m heading to Melbourne for a very busy week of events. She offered to do a shampoo and blow wave at 8 am on the Sunday before I leave at 12. I can’t believe it.

A good find Chookie. I’ve also tried out one who works from home after a recommendation from a gym friend. My regular lady charged me $43 for the last cut and this new one charged $30, a much better price.

I washed a woollen rug today and then washed the kitchen windows and curtains and also cleaned the stove from top to bottom.
