I've been going to Plenty for years...they used to make really good russian meat pie thingy's that the real name escapes me at the moment.  Since I changed the way I go to work, I haven't been there :(....how slack I have become!  I discovered Samios at Wooloongabba which was on my way back to work from dropping my son to school (and it was good because they opened at 7) but then they moved to Coorparoo :(.  I also love Hellenes at West End but it's hard to find the time to go there (again its out of my normal driving pattern).  I'm hanging out for next year when I will have more normal working hours and more time to get out and do things.  I've been wanting to go to the Rocklea Markets twilight market on a Wednesday for months and I still haven't been there (and I working only five minutes away from there)....maybe next week since bratboy won't need to be picked up.

Definately me Uni....my nickname is Possum because I used to be able to sleep anywhere as a kid...buried deep in my mothers photo albums is a picture of me asleep under a coffee table in the lounge of Auckland airport when we got stuck there on the way to the States when I was 7.  So long as I had my blanket, I was able to snooze.....I still can get to sleep easily, its just staying asleep that I have problems with.

My kids are the same with being able to sleep anywhere....I trained them from an early age :)....I used to shock my mother-in-law because my kids didn't have a set sleep routine during the day....we went everywhere with quilts and if they were tired, I stuck them in a corner or under a table and they went to sleep.  Even now you rarely see either of my kids after about 8.30...they always had to be in bed in their rooms by 8pm when they were younger, I didn't care whether they slept or read, but they had to be in bed.  They are both still quilt kids and each have five or six at any one time in their bedrooms.  Every now and then I confiscate some of them and put them back around the house but they seem to migrate back there again.

Tv never appealed greatly to either of my kids and even now neither of them watch a lot of "normal" tv.  I don't like soap operas and would never let them be on in the house (the kids know that I will bitch and complain and bitch and complain if someone doesn't turn off Home and Away if it comes on after the news).  I have corrupted my son totally, he now has the ABC news channel running almost constantly when he is at home and puts the TV on.  They are also hooked on Netflix....particularly for Bones, Dr Who and I have now gotten my daughter into Drop Dead Diva.  I am into slightly off beat stuff like Dead like Me (there really isn't a theme going here...honestly) and I have been known to have Star Trek and Goodies marathons.

I used to watch that :(...until I threw a temper tantrum at Telstra and told them to take it away.  We still have it in the lounge room but only for the football for DH.  Mind you...as soon as DH had control of the remote, I didn't get to watch it anyway.  I liked it and the History channel.  Now I just watch documentaries on netflix instead or the BBC from the UK.

My favourite is Come Dine with Me, and Wife Swap just has me laughing. The Real Housewives of Beverley Hills/Orange County make me laugh as well cos they are always arguing and b**ching about each other. They are my favourites, and I can watch them to the cows come home over and over. I love mindless tv shows where I don't have to think.

My husband really got into Revenge....didn't do anything for me and there was some crime show he used to watch while I put a pillow over my head and attempted to sleep.  I like The Mentalist and would probably have gotten into the fairytale show whatever it was if I ever managed to catch more than 10 minutes of it.

We have a ridiculous amount of TV's (7)....which really don't get watched a lot...but all except for two have been given to us when someone has upgraded another one.  My house somehow becomes the last stop for appliances and furniture.....I have a large cedar chest in my lounge room affectionately known as the coffin (it really is that large and looks remarkably like one) that ended up here because my sister bought it at a garage sale and then couldn't fit it....my house definately doesn't look like anything out of home beautiful....its very much a mishmash of decorating styles (actually there is nothing stylish about it :P ) but it's home.

Stacelee, you have just mentioned some of my favourite program's. Reality shows are pretty much banned in out house as my DH  can't stand them. I did manage a season of Masterchef, and we watch The Glee Project together. I do have some weird cooking related reality shows that I watch with my DD like Cupcake Wars, or better ones like Cake Boss or Ace of Cakes.

I've learnt not to watch anything set in a restaurant because I get a commentary about the equipment or how the kitchen has been designed...I've never been into reality tv because I tend to get embarrassed/uncomfortable for the contestants....my sisters family are very very heavily into it and my daughter b***hes and complains when she ends up over there and watching it. I love motor sport but hate having to watch football or cricket (I'm not that fond of football live either....I was the one in the second row sewing  a quilt binding and pretending the watch the suns game last saturday...my husband was rolling his eyes at me).
