Coops do you want to join us? We will all support each other :)
If extra weight makes you missable then it's worth a try to be happier with who you are. I haven't been happy with my weight for some time and decided that now is the time to try and become a bit healthier.

Has everyone here seen the "Swap it, Don't Stop it" campaign?

Yummy home made raspberry muffin for breakfast (the recipe was for 12 - about 284 calories each, I got 17 out of the recipe so probably less calories than that).  I've been snacking on beef jerky as I cleaned out my pantry and I'm now enjoying an enormous cup of Earl Grey tea while I do some actual work......Day two of being good is going well.

They sound pretty good Stacelee, I have some raspberries in the freezer too :D
I just brought a chocolate mud cake for DHs birthday (I'm not having any) I think just smelling it would be 100 calories :o
I will take a photo later and you will know what I mean.
I'm going to be good, I'm going to be good, I'm going to be good :D

Read 'Eat to Live' by Joel Fuhrman focus is on optimal health and nutrition with sustained weight loss a welcome side-effect for most.
That's why I bought a TMX (many recipes suggest Vitamix or high speed blender)  Then I discovered the Cakes/Desserts/Biscuit sections here on the forum  :-))
Good luck.

Dede I think you should be able to have a little bit of cake to celebrate your DH's birthday  :)
It's a special day (and that cake looks too good to resist!)

I hope it was a lovely day

You need to be able to enjoy the good things, just in moderation. I tend to increase my exercise these days if I know I'm going to be eating more of the treat things than normal.

That cake Mandi.... :o

I think it would be more detrimental for your mental health to deprive yourself of such a decadent treat than it would be to your waistline if you had a little bit ;)

Birthdays don't count anyway :-))
And you're lucky you have 5 kiddies + DH + your own ;D

I need to join this group and I usually start my attempt to lose weight at the beginning of each month or so. Right now I'm not quite motivated and it's soooo hard in winter....boohoo
