Last week in the shopping car park I saw a parked car that had somehow ended up sideways parked and had hit another car. No occupants in either. I took some photos with my mobile, and then went off to report to centre management. When I came back, the offending car had gone - and hadn't left a note! Driver comes back and gets a real shock with us standing there looking at the damage. Heard from her today to say that she just had to pay an insurance excess of $450 to get her car fixed but she will get it refunded. The photos had licence plate details and showed the positioning of the cars. Police will be able to trace offenders details from this and I would love to see this persons face when they realise they didn't get away with it
I felt like a busy body, but what the heck.

Well done CP, in this day and age people can't get away with a lot.

Great work CP
You weren't being a busy body either, you were being an honest citizen. I'm sure the lady whose car was damaged is very grateful to you

Good on you CP.
I would be devastated if someone had crashed into my car and not left their contact details.

Well done CP,
Having a little giggle here, one letter on my laptop wont work its the letter in on the lower row that's in the middle of v and n, I have to rely on spell check and sometimes it just doesn't show the word I want, try typing a post and not using this letter, gets tricky.
luck I also have an ipad that I can use too.

Reminds me on Saturday whilst cleaning windows I got a text message, and as I replied I got water on the phone on the "s" key. It went haywire and kept going "great *ss ssssssssss great sex sssssssssss" over and over as the dictionary went into overtime with all the most embarrassing words. I just ended turning it off as it was having a Tourette's moment

Trying to be happy!!! But maybe a bit down?? Having trouble "adapting" to the phase of parenting late teens/ young adults DDs are 15 17 and 19. Middle DD turns 18 on Xmas eve. They no longer want to be with us, have other plans for Xmas day ( well two of them do) and no longer want to come on family holidays. I should be happy for them as the two eldest both have boyfriends so they re happy.
I knew this day would come but I am finding it a bit hard making the transition. Anyone have any tips?

i wouldn't say much, only that you are really going to miss seeing them on the day/have them share lunch/see all the rellies. Its their decision and Im sure they really want to be with you more than anything. Its only one day, perhaps if they don't change their mind why not arrange for them to come around either Chrissy eve or Boxing Day. Its just one day of the year, and the less said the better I reckon.
Holidays, well that happens as they get older. Just think on the bright side that you don't have to cook for so many people, and you can go out for a meal or two. One day you'll all be together on a holiday, but the days when you had them with you all the time are probably a thing of the past for a while.
