Congratulations Amy.  Just 25 hrs of log book now and you will be driving all over the state visiting us. 25 hours is only 5 trips to Perth or 25 return trips to Mt Barker. 

You will find a job soon and all will be right with the world.

Just got on to this posting to see that congratulations are in order Amy.Well done
What do you have to do for these 25 hours for your log book? It's different here in the UK as once you have passed your driving test you can drive anywhere,all by yourself.

CC, I have to have the log book for 6 months, and in that time I have to complete at least 25 hours of driving. I have to record details of each drive, such as weather conditions, what sort of road I was driving on, etc. Its a pain in the backside I think its just a way of making sure young people learn to be sensible drivers and gain road experiences before they're let off the leash completely. There are certain rules that still apply while I have the log book, such as not exceeding 100km/hr, my blood alcohol reading must always be 0%, and I think we're only allowed 4 demerit points. None of those things will be a problem for me

I agree Amy, kids do have it easy here in the UK compared to your rules.
