I'm happy we had 44mm of rain yesterday.  ;D
Absolutely lovely as there is water in the tanks, the garden has been well watered and if there was anything still smouldering after all the fires we've had up here the last couple of weeks - it should be out, and it will make it hard for the low lifes that have been lighting fires most nights around here and Ellenbrook as everything is pretty damp.

It is disgusting that people purposely set fires Nikkit. I spoke with my brother yesterday and his son in Ellenbrook had a fire next door in the bush. Some idiot set it alight at 2.30am.

Yes Cookie - there have been a lot of those fires in the past couple of weeks. 12 in one night apparently. I have no idea what they get out of it, sicko's.
They could be in a bit of pain if caught, as there are a lot of people lined up to have a quiet chat with them.

We sure did Amy, we have rain water tanks, so catch our water off our roof. We had about a months left of water in the tanks, so we'll get through now - that is if we get average winter rainfall.
Things were looking pretty crispy, but now it will all perk up. Will have to get another hay roll in for the boys, because as soon as any green shoots come up they'll be eating a lot of sand as well. Last thing I need is for them both to have colic.
There's pros and cons to the rain, I walked my paddocks thismorning and I have some serious grass planting to do this winter as I have a lot of run off happening, will have to fence a few areas off for a bit of rehab, but I love it - means that summer is fading into the distance and winter is coming   :)
