Hope the little lass hangs on for a bit longer to give her a better start to life Mandi - fingers crossed for your sister.

Thanks everyone. We hoping all is fine.

By the way it's almost 6.30pm and I just remembered that it's mine and my DHs 13th Wedding anniversary :o
Oops neither DH or myself remembered until he walked inside and seen the Pork roast for Dinner tonight and said that he's going to Marry me lol

Thanks Judy, don't think I can use my sister as an excuse for not remembering though as I didn't find out about her news until 3pm.
Oh well at least I remembered today and not tomorrow :)

Best of luck dede - I was very lucky with DS and I didn't have any complications. Well, not until labour, anyway. I can only imagine who distressing it would be for mum...

I'm happy because DS decided on a cake that he likes last night. We're going with a 'Curious George' cake, so now I can start planning and making! I'm very excited!

This is what I'm aiming for:

I know it's a little over the top for a 3rd birthday, but I think it's more for me than for him. I know of people who pay for cakes (I was at a birthday party on the week-end for a 2 year old and his mum had paid a lot of money for his cake) and I would never do that. DS is only getting this becuase I want to make it. It also creates a great them for monkey-themed food as well. I'm also going to TRY to make monkey cake pop's.

.

I'm very excited about it - can you tell?

Dede - you should have thought quickly and got defensive, like 'I KNEW you'd forget!!' ;-)

I think so, Astarra! Nice & bright, too. I really liked that cake, because the George on top of the cake is a cake topper that I can buy. I don't think I'm up to making a fondant cake topper just yet. Maybe next year...

Not until October, but I'm starting to think & organise things now. I'm going to have his party at Mum & Dad's place, as I don't have a backyard and not much space inside, and they have a beautiful outdoor area with a big 'outdoor kitchen' that we can cook on, and there's heating if we need it. It's much nicer for entertaining. I have to be organised, because I'm going to have to take everything with me and make it there - I'm going to stay there for the week-end. It will be thermomix's first trip. Actually, second. The first trip was home from my parents house where the delivery demo was... lol
