Cookie1 - I'm with you, tears and baited breath. Watching that brought back memories of doing a search and rescue out of Cairns many years ago. We flew out to the boat and nothing we could do but wave and hope the army choper got there in time for them. Also my Dad, Uncle and a friend had their boat tip over years ago down south. They spent the night on the hull, with 1 man dead and sharks circling. Makes me sick just thinking about it again now. I feel for that man and his family.
I have not heard any news this morning, so don't know what has happenend overnight.

Sorry I've just realised this is the Happy Thread and mine was none of that!

Happy thoughts, happy thoughts...

I have a family of blue wrens in my garden and the gorgeous daddy comes and sings to me on the windowsill - showing of his stunning feathers. I tell him he is very handsome and he flits back and forth between the window sill and his harem of girls! Any wonder I don't get much done in my office - I watch him half the day!

No worries Nikkit ;) I do love your story about the blue wrens. It reminds me of the blue wren that used to live near my grandparent's property, and it used to come right onto their patio and take little crumbs of cheese from grandpa's hand if he were sitting very still :D

Yesterday one of the mums commented on my weight, saying i had lost some  :-*  and today we are moving house  ;D happy days!

Thats great Meagan!! Always nice to have your weight loss acknowledged ;D ;D ;D

Yay Amy!
Errr...may I ask what is gonging? The last time I heard/saw that term used it was an email with Chinese men with gong attached to their you - know - whats and they were swinging them...had something to do with strength and length...

Yep - way too much info sorry!

ROFL ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

The gonging... oh dear me, it was actually quite horrible :(
There were eight of us in the session, and you lie on these matresses in a domed room with stars on the ceiling. They give you a scarf infused with some sort of oil, which you breathe in. Then you lie back and close your eyes (like meditation) and a lady bangs this big gong which hangs in the middle of the room. Then she gets a smaller one a brings it around to gong over everyone, so you feel the vibrations. She did some weird chanting as well.
But I'm never doing it again. The oil made me feel physically sick, like I was going to throw up, and I was so dizzy afterwards that I nearly passed out. I had to stagger straight to the toilets as soon as the session was over.

Dunno why that happened to me, everyone else was really relaxed and calm and apparently feeling fantastic ???

But to turn it into a happy story, I'm glad I know never to do it again ;)

Amy, that sounds very weird but each to his own.

That's good news. How is your sister going?

Going ok Michelle, 29 weeks and 1 day today. She looked a bit drained yesterday though. She will be pretty bored from today onwards as her little boy will be away either with me or child care 5 days a week. She can't do anything so will be very boring.
