My DH never does the dishes
I also have a trusty dishwasher.
I do hand wash some stuff and rinse as well.

We only rinse glassware when we hand wash nothing else.

I don't put plastics or baking dishes in the dishwasher. I ALWAYS rinse the suds off my dishes. I like lots of suds in my washing up water.
I wear gloves when I wash up as I use super hot water.

I never do this, because I like my rinsing water to be warm, but I am told that cold water is better to wash off soap residue and suds than warm or hot rinsing water.

I have a double sink, so I use hot water to rinse.

Definitely rinse off the suds.
And my washing up water has to be soapy and can't have floaty bits

I don't rinse, but DS is right beside me with the tea towel. They get dried straight away.
