Just finished Fuchsia Dunlop's "Sharks Fin & Sichuan Pepper" and thoroughly enjoyed it. A little confronting in parts, but it gave me more to think about than I expected and has kindled an interest in cooking Chinese food that I have never had before.

Time for a murder mystery now, I think.

Finished The Rosie Project yesterday so came on here to see what I should read next 😀. Just downloaded Burial Rites, sounds good. Haven't been doing much reading lately though.

First mystery down - "The Sound of Breaking Glass" by Deborah Crombie.
Very satisfactory mystery, apparently the last in a series of 15 with the same detectives so the entire back story is a mystery to me!

I've just started JD Robb's latest. Calculated in Death. I am glad my ereader has a light as I will be able to read at night in the camp!

Just finished "Meet Me in Malmo" by Torquil Macleod (I think that name is made up - it must be!).
Not a bad pot-boiler, but a rubbish ending.  Still, it only cost me $1.57 on the Kindle, so I can't really complain.

I've just put The Rosie Project and a few others on the e reader. I don't think I'll will get much reading done though.

Just finished "Orphan Train" by Kristina Baker Kline. A very easy, quick read and certainly not great literature. A sentimental, but also interesting look at the "Orphan Trains" in the US which were responsible for distributing over 200,000 orphaned and abandoned children over a period of 75 years, up until the 1930's.

Just finished "Meet Me in Malmo" by Torquil Macleod (I think that name is made up - it must be!).

Amanda, I don't think Torquil MacLeod is a made up name (pronounced Torkil).  It sounds to me like a name from the Scottish Outer Hebrides - I must look him up now that I have put my neck on the line with that statement!

Just looked him up, and yes, I got it right, his family is from the Isle of Skye.

I just had to download the first  of Torquil's books as it was so cheap  at $1.57 and if I like it I will buy the second at  the great price of $3.15.

I am reading calculated Loss by Linda Richards for a bit of light reading before  diving into The Kills by Richard House and  am saving The Cuckoos  Calling for the flight to Adelaide that is If I finish The Kills which is 1000 pages .
