Hi I thought it was time I contributed a bit . Loved The Goldfinch, a novel that says with you forever.  I Have really enjoyed getting back to reading once I joined book club . Makes you read a variety of books . I have enjoyed these books , A Spool of Blue Thread - Anne Tyler, Career Of Evil -Robert Galbraith  ;) third in the series . At the moment I decided to read Shantaram -Gregory David Roberts , this will take me awhile but I am enjoying it . Another one that I am doing for book club is The Other Side Of The World - Stephanie Bishop , very descriptive .

The Rosie Effect is the next part to the story of The Rosie Project. Are you on Goodreads? That's a pretty good way to find out what's good!

Katie, thanks for mentioning these books...
I think I need to get back into the groove of reading books... With a toddler and baby on the way, it will be the best stress buster! :)

Thermilover congratulations ! Great idea to read to relax . Keep reading , I love it now and cannot believe that I only read one book a year when the kids were very little . Now I love to devour books . Better reading is a facebook site and they just did a live book club ..podcast last night .

I finished a JD Robb story the other day and have almost finished an Anna Jacobs book now. I'm also into Dana Stabenow at the moment.

Thank you so much Judy, Cookie and Katie :)

You are right Katie, before having our first kid, I used to find time to read but now it just seems impossible, by the end of the day I just feel like going straight to sleep but I remember days where I was hooked to a book and will be reading all the time, as soon as I woke up, in lunch breaks and before going to sleep...

Its a complete different world you can build while reading, will go to the library this weekend and see..

I am usually a fiction/thriller person, but now I feel like reading some light hearted story.. Any suggestions for a good read?

Sounds interesting Marina,Roise Project by Graeme Simsion... Thanks for the suggestion :)
Will check my library now if they have stock, I am not a huge fan of ebooks as I love holding the physical book and turning pages so fingers crossed they have a paper back...

I hear what you are saying Thermilover but I am now into my 7th Kindle, the Oasis and I gotta tell ya I Have given all of my past ones away and not one person would ever give them up to go back to a hard copy. I take my little oasis everywhere with me in my handbag so never have to be bored while waiting for a cuppa or doctor. Also there are a lot of freebie books available and often a new books a lot lot cheaper from Amazon than even Big W. I love to be able to read a review and download a book instantly. But the biggest thing I having  lots of books available to suit my mood. Keeping books in the wet tropics is not ideal with the damp no mould.

You are absolutely right Gert, Kindle is really nice to hold all your favorite books when travelling, and have easy access to them whenever you want :)

I went to the library and got 'Rosie Project' :)
