I love my e reader,but still buy the occasional book. At the moment I am finishing The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield. I'm enjoying it but it is a little unusual.
I loved the The g..............and potato peel society. I thought it was beautiful.
My next book club book is Kate Morton's The Forgotten Garden.
My next book to read of my choice is Judy Nunns' latest> I think it's The Tiger Men or something similar. Set in Tasmania in early times.

Wonder, I loved Kate Morton's books.  Some take a little time to get into so don't give up.  Have just read Bitter Greens by Kate Forsyth, Colour of Tea by Hannah Tunnicliffe and Joy Dettman's Wind in the Wires which is the 4th book of the Woody Creek Series.  Enjoyed them all.  Have Friendship Bread by Darien Gee to read next as I liked the title.  I purchased a Kindle to take away with me so I didn't have to lugg books.  Found it great and it's also great to read in bed as light.  I still like Books in Print though!!!

Had to go and have a look in my Archived books as I can't remember some titles mentioned. Have read The Forgotten Garden, The Guernsey Literary, Friendship Bread, Finding Jack. Really enjoyed Cutting for Stone, The Hundred Foot Journey, Life of Pi, A Reliable Wife, Room, Sarah's Key, Sister, Snow Flower & the Secret Fan, Water for Elephants, & The Glass Castle. Could not for the life of me understand a word of A Visit from the Goon Squad.

What interesting replies, thanks everyone.
I was given the distant hours by Kate Morton for Christmas. Sometimes her books are slow to get into, but reasonable reads.
Jodie piccoult is always good and Diana Gabaldon is one of my favourite authors. Have read all of hers.

Discovered the Bletchley park book has such small print it is not a bedtime book for middle aged eyes!

CP I'm afraid I didn't enjoy The Life of Pi at all. Snow Flower and the Secret Fan was beautiful as was The Glass Castle.

I love 'who dunnits' too.

The Kids have been on holidays, so I've pretended to be on holidays a little too, and caught up on some of my reading. At book club last week, we discussed ( amongst lots of other things LOL) The Time Travellers Wife. I really enjoyed it, but then watched the movie ands didn't enjoy it -  isn't that always the way?
We haven't got our new book yet, so I'm catching up on the pile of books waiting for me at home.
I read Val Mcdermid's  Trick of the Dark next. I think she's a fantastic writer and I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Last night I finished Good to a Fault by Marina Endicott which was a totally different type of book, but really enjoyable. It's about a lonely, single woman in her 40,s who crashes her car into a family who have been living in their car. It then traces what happens when the mother of the family is hospitalised with cancer and she invites the rest of the family including a baby and two other kids and a sullen grandmother to live with her. Her life is profoundly changed as a result.
I am about to start Kathryn Fox!s Blood Born. I've read one of her books before, so I'm looking forward to it.

Everyone is talking about the Shades of Grey series, but I can't be bothered with it. I did enjoy the Potato pie Literary Society book which I have now read twice as we did it for book club earlier this year. I am finding that I'm not reading as many books these days, as I'm spending more time here ! Does anyone else have the same problem?

Yes ES! I have a really hard time finding time to read everything on this forum (let alone reply) let alone read a book!  :D I have a pile on my bedside table waiting to be read, but am too tired by the time I go to bed  :-))

I'm 60% of the way through the Kate Morton book and while I'm finding it ok I seem to be reading much more slowly than I used to. I think there are just too many things going on in my life to be able to concentrate. There are some great ideas here, it will be a great help for book club choices.

I am SO glad that others have the same opinion of 50 shades of grey. A lot of people on Facebook have read it and RAVE about it. I can't be bothered, either.

I'm a big fan of most of James Patterson's books, but I don't get much time to read at the moment with work, university, and DS.

Fifty Shades of Boring Crap! I can't believe that people are buying it! What a load of twaddle, I've read better on porn sites. ;D ;D

Love the Potato Peel one, Water for Elephants, like a Jodi Picoult now and then. Our last Book Club book was Andrew Fraser's "Court in the Middle". Badly written, didn't finish it.
Next Book Club book is The Taliban Cricket Club. Loved the Kabul Beauty School and the Little Coffee Shop of Kabul too..

I'm presently reading the Alexander McCall Smith No 1 ladies Detective Series. It's delightful, I love the old fashioned morals and the correct language.
I don't think I've read Kate Morton, I'll have to look out for them. I read books from Kindle on my iPad.

Another series that gets a lot of belly laughs and is totally silly but full of fun are the Janet Evanovich Stephanie Plum Series. I really would love to meet Lula...

Edited to add, I have read Kate Morton. One of our books was The Shifting Fog. Enjoyed reading that one.
