Gert, I know I'm going against the grain not being overly fussed Helen's spatula. I'm not exactly sure what it is I don't like, I do find the handle a little to short and a bit wide making it a little uncomfortable in my hand and find the flexible bit to wide. I guess just difficult to please :). I actually bought two plus the brush (which I hate to say I have never taken from the package  :o), I'm not dissapointed I bought them and they do get used because I never seem to have enough spatulas, but just not my favourite.

Oh wonder you should try the brush. It is great. Wish I had several more. I will look forward to what Helene is up to in the shop and I might just buy another spatula and several, brushes as well. I use one to clean the keyboard on my laptop. I really should not  eat over it. LOL!

Gert, I forgot I even had it until you mentioned it, I'll dig it out from under the kitchen sink.

Obbie, my favourite was a cheaper from Aldi which came in a pack of 3, the largest was huge and went in the bin but the smallest was fantastic, unfortunately I lost it and need to wait for them to come back on rotation at Aldi.

Actually I agree with Wonder.  I'm not overly fussed with the spatulas either, and find I reach for my others before I go for one of them.  I love the brushes though.  :)

I have the Ikea mat and spatula, and must admit that I have never tried using it in my TC as a spatula. I used it last week to slice up the pull apart bread on the mat. I will try it soon as a spatula.

I was planning on buying Helene's spatula and brush sets but now unsure after reading the above posts. They look great on the video but seems quite a few of you don't like them. Maybe I will go to Ikea and try their spatula as I really find the TM one very awkward to use.

Don't be put off MF just go to Helene' s web site and watch her VDO . Tenina loves it so much she is selling lots at her cooking classes.

I think it depends on how you use a spatula and the handles. I find hers very comfortable and in control.  tahe thin handles ones don't work for me but do for others.

Anyway Helene's  is pretty cheap for great quality.  The IKEA one looks pretty flexible but way to narrow for me. Horses for courses.

Yes I thought they looked great on the video and the brush looks perfect for getting into everything. Will follow my initial feeling and just order them as the spatula must be a big improvement on the TM spatula. I can't use it so have been trying out the few that I have in my drawer. Thanks for the positive comments Gert and mcmich for the brush recommendation. :)

For the little brush to clean the blade, i use the little brush that comes with baby's bottle brush. Normally the baby's bottle brush has this little brush that is used to clean teats. It is not as delicate as Helen's i admit. But somehow work for me.

Just an idea if someone already had the baby bottle brush lying around somewhere. 😁

I  have ikea brushes that I use to scrub the blades, they are quite big but I find they do the job - maybe I'm just not as fussy as everyone else??
