Yep Amy is right, my 22 month old (barely 10kg) little monkey princess fell off the seat of a picnic table (I was sitting with her, she was standing next to me) took a step sideways, fell and landed on her shoulder head neck, and broke her collar bone, it is quite an angular break but the bones are still aligned.

It will be very very very sore for 7 - 10 days, and then take about a month to heal after that. She is too little to have it in a sling of any kind, so it is just sort of hanging there.

Poor little thing, being so young it must be terribly hard for you all.  Hugs (gentle ones) for her.  I cannot believe the luck your family has fruity - gee whiz it has to change sooner or later doesn't it :'(

Kids are super resilient aren't they? She is still carrying it somewhat, but is starting to use it in limited movements, there is a huge huge huge lump on her collar bone though.

It appears my kids are accident prone, and have had several friends say the same, but they are very active healthy kids and accidents do happen when they are out doing things rather than watching tv / playing electronic games etc.

All in all I count my family as being very blessed as while we have had our share of accidents there has been nothing major, no major illness etc etc

Sorry to read this Fruity about your DD.
We are an accident prone family too and emphasise hugely.
Glad she is on the mend.

Take care all of you, you all deserve a change of fortune this year.
