surgery #2
This sugery was to re break the small amount of fused bone, clean the break and install a plate and 4 screws.

and the original frankentoe surgery.

This surgery was to remove the infected middle knuckle and then put a K wire in to stabilise the joint so the bone could fuse. (you can see the end of the wire poking out the top of my toe)

The fusion didn't take and I needed another surgery 18 ish months later.

That arrow is so important, other wise you could have 2 sore toes.
Hopefully it has all been sorted out and fixed now.

How did you break the toe Fruity?

My DD had some similar surgery on a finger some years ago. She had a wire poking out the back of her hand. They had to do it twice because it didn't heal. Eventually sh told them to take the finger off because it wouldn't heal and it was interfering with her doing anything.
