He had surgery on Thursday morning which apparently went well. He is getting lots of cuddles and I'll pick him up tomorrow, I've had to purchase a crate to keep him in for the next 4-6 weeks as he is not allowed to move. He has a couple of tiny pins that are criss crossed in and holding the growth plate together that if they come out he could end up with a leg that sticks out. Little Gracie is missing him being around, bu there's lots of nursing ahead.

Poor little guy . . but we know he'll be receiving the best care with you CP . . and he'll have Gracie to talk to.  Here's hoping he heals quickly :)

Cute dogs Lee. It's funny how they have such different personalities isn't it? We have two cavoodles which are 5 years apart in age the same as our kids. Like our kids they look very similar, but their personalities are poles apart and strangely replicate the kids personalities very closely  ;D I would be lost without the two of them in the house.

They are adorable, and by the sounds of it they have their preferred laps.

Wonder where did you get your Cawood letter from? We have a Spoodle and want to get another one but it is a nightmare trying to find a reputable place and not a puppy farm.

This is Peanut and Gracie. He's been extremely good so far. Only another 4-5 weeks in the crate...think I'll even be running around and jumping for joy then

Poor Peanut and Gracie, they must miss playing together

Bootobethin, it's so hard finding ones that aren't from a puppy farm. Unfortunately I think our first one (8 years old) may have been, I hadn't done much research and hadn't heard of puppy farms when we purchased him and I did ring the place we got him afterwards and they assured me he wasn't from one but then they wouldn't have told me otherwise. Our second little boy was from a private breeder and we went to their house and saw the entire litter so I'm 99.9% confident they were ok but you never know, there are always people trying to make money. It's so hard when you are buying the mixed breeds. Good luck

That poor little boy, he must wonder what he's done to be locked away.  Gracie must also be confused but is so cute being as close to him as she can.  Roll on the next month or so for all your sakes.

Thanks Wonder. It is difficult to find a private breeder for these mixed breed.
Lots of anger and nastiness on the net.
It is such a pity as these pets bring such joy and companionship.
It is the humans who are the problem!
