Stef, Stef, I just had  a message from my Pitch and he says  Zeno has arrived in Doggie Heaven. Russo was there and all the other doggies you and Erik knew and loved. They are showing him around . Zeno is pain free and acting like the puppy he was in the old days. They are  taking him to dinner a the  Chow Down cafe and guess what?............ in Doggie Heaven  they are allowed to eat CHOCQOLATE!

It is never easy to say goodbye to a much loved family member.  Stef & Erik you have my heartfelt sympathy and I know from personal experience  what you are going through.  Our pets ask so little but give us so much.  I agree with you Stef, the older we get the harder it is.  Luka will miss Zeno so much as well.  Take care, my thoughts are with you at this very sad time.

PS just noticed Gerts post and I'm certain Missie is welcoming him also.

My thoughts are with you Stef. I wish there was something I could say to make you feel better, but I know there isn't :'(

I'm sure my old dogs Floyd, Stella and Murphy welcomed Zeno with slobbery tongues and waggy tails as well.

Stef the sadness felt by you and your family is so very tangible - our much loved lab, Shelby will be 13 at the end of October and I go to water at the thought of this day approaching.  Hugs to you and your family xx

Stef and Erik, I'm so sorry to hear about Zeno.  :-[

We have been in the same situation and with time the tears slow down and smiles of happy memories return.
Big big hugs to you both.  :-*

thank you all for your kind worlds , all of them are like cool drops that help to ease the pain..

i just want to share a video some complete strangers in Kentucky made in honor of Zeno.

I never met them, but got to know them through facebook. I am eternally thankful for what they did for us.

Thank u everyone...i have been crying like a baby all the time..  Not a professional way to act if you are doing business... On facebook Greetchen said a wonderful thing about cathy making this memorial for zeno....  It is good to see the social media used for good instead of evil...  That prompted me to try to get zeno's memorial video on the national belgian news ..  I keep you posted..  I hope they use it, mostly to thank cathy for her warm heart.

A truly moving tribute stef, thanks for sharing it with us.  Our pets are like our children, if anything happens to them we cry and cry and cry.  My 4 year old GS asked me the other day what I would do if he got hit by a car - I told him I would cry forever.
