It is a bit of a trek... but when is good for you? I can come Thu-Fri alone or Sat-Wed with Cait. I'd love to catch up & see all your books and it could be a little heavy for you to go anywhere LOL.

I have been making a version of CADA with walnuts macadamia nuts, apple, coconut, cinnamon and dates or figs.
I also add a peeled lemon as it keeps everything fresh for a couple of days. I whiz the dates first to break them up then just add the rest. The quantities vary depending on what I have and what I feel like on the day.
I serve it with my TM yogurt. Yum

Finally got around to make this breakfast and it's yummy and filling. Will definitely be making again....the only problem is it's so loud and scares my little one (even with a towel wrapped around to insulate).
Here it is - so simple:

Love this one, I add whatever bits and pieces I fancy though...sometimes dried apricots, sometimes a little fresh ginger, nutmeg or cinnamon. Fresh grapes are yum instead of the apple - but it does go a little juicier. Change the nuts. And if I know lunch is going to be a long way away I add a good handful of oats (rolled / porridge oats) as well. "Beefs" it up a bit.
Yum, might go make some for my lunch now. Doesn't just have to be for breakky does it?

Is this made with just regular dried coconut or does it have to be fresh coconut flesh? I keep meaning to make it.

I have used both dessicated and shredded coconut (I am not sure what the difference is between the two, to be honest). Both seem to work equally as well.
Has anyone tried medjool dates vs. other types?

Dried is fine MJ, frsh is good too, but dried is easier - always have some in the pantry.
