Well we are in Norseman for tonight. The last couple of days we have done close to 1200km. We did about 600 each day. We saw lots of dead wombats again, very sad. Also saw a big, dead camel today about 100km east of Norseman. It has been quite warm travelling until about 1 pm today when we came into rain. It is still just over 700 km home. We will break it into 2 days otherwise you hit the heavy traffic after a long day driving.
. Isn't this lovely. There were 2 vintage Bentleys travelling back to Perth.
. This is our GPS.. On the top left ( at the bottom) you can see the current time, and then on the right you can see the time we will arrive at our destination. Very funny, as we will arrive before the current time. It was as we were coming into the WA time zone.
. Fruit check at the border.
. This is taken just near Madura.
. A burned out truck. Poor blighted, way out in the middle of nowhere.
. Our bush camp.

Thanks for your comments on the trip. We have appreciated them. Even DH now says 'hey, that is an iPad shot for the forum'.

Thanks MF and moptop. DD had said it was cold and wet. We ran into the rain about 40km east of Norseman. It's freezing here now. We had the aircon on in the car this morning!

Took me a while to work out the Bentley picture Cookie.  He looks as if he is driving in the same direction as you but on the wrong side of the road then I realised he must be coming towards you :-))

So you will be home tomorrow or Tuesday?

The Bentley had just passed us Judy. They can move for old cars. But then they had to fuel up pretty often.
We will get home Tuesday morning. We thought we'd camp out tomorrow night and leave about 200 km to do Tuesday morning.
We have sticky sap from the trees we were under in Nuriootpa all over the car and van. We will be able to scrub it off before we put the van away in the shed.

And that's a good lesson to learn. You won't do,that again.

I bet you were so surprised and delighted to see the Bentleys.

What a trip we have had.

Thank you cookie and. DH.

Many thanks Cookie & DH for allowing us to be part of your journey.  It has been wonderful seeing the sights and hearing of your travels.  What a wonderful time it has been but I bet you will be glad to be home soon.  Take care

Maybe you could use a scrubbie to get the sap off Cookie.

Michele, I think you are right. Thank you lots.
We are only 160 km out of Perth.. DH found some more old cars in Coolgardie today and spent quite some chatting about them. I don't mind really. We should be home before lunch tomorrow.
Thank you all for coming for the ride. It has been fun.

. This was just out of Norseman. I thought it was great scenery.
. The post office in Coolgardie.

I have resisted the urging by DH to put up some of the photos he took of the cars.

Cookie your DH is about old cars and mine was into war museums (when we did a 5 month campervan trip as far as Cook in Qld 21 years ago).  I stopped at every single museum I came across all the way up north until one day he told me I didn't have to stop at any more as he had seen enough.  Yes!!!  The things we do for our DH's and as I have absolutely no interest whatsoever in war museums that was music to my ears
