Online grocery shopping experiences?

I'm thinking of trying out online grocery shopping so I can use it when bubs no.2 is here (still a few months away).

I'm in Perth and just wanted to  know of your experiences? Do they usually have the products you want? Quality etc?

Also, it doesn't seem that IGA have online shopping - do they?

I use online shopping from Woollies online all the time.
The only issue that I have and it can be quite a pain, as soon as the shopping has been delivered, THE DRIVER WILL NOT WAIT.
I check the items off my list, and every time so far there has been at least 1 or 2 items missing.
I just phone the number on the shopping list and they will either re deliver or credit my card.
However, in saying that I will continue to shop online.
I find grocery shopping in a shop the biggest waste of any persons time.
I am lucky, I have my groceries delivered to work, I put the freezer stuff in the freezer (I keep freezer blocks in the freezer for the trip home, It is over an hour most days)
Put all of my shopping in the cold bags and unpack when get home.
BTW the store I have the deliveries from is Riverton forum, so you may not have the same issues.

Aussie farmers are great & its a lot of heavy items too.

I am in Bunbury and often use Woolies and love it particularly over the Christmas time.  I have had deliveries to both home and work.  When my daughter was small I used to phone my order through and pick it up before online 18 years ago. More fun time as a mum then the stress of shopping with littles.   I use Woolies because I find the ap easier to use.  Give it a go you will love it

Love on line shopping, I make the list large and stock up on all the really heavy items that I then don't have to carry back from the shop. Yes it is an issue if something is missed or not quite right, but they always fix it up with the next delivery which is the next day if you are in a frequently serviced area. 

Last Xmas woolies forgot my turkey or maybe they inadvertently gave it to someone else. When I rang and asked for another they incorrectly credited my Visa. When I rang to say I didn't want the credit i wanted the B*****y turkey they delivered it the next day and did not charge me!

I used Coles online in geelong when the children were babies as it is much easier than shopping with two under 18 months. But, found the prices a little dearer and if they left out an item I would get a credit and be without that item all week or have to go out and buy it myself anyway, which defeated the purpose. Use dairy farmers weekly and can't fault them.

I do online with WW and have found them to be really good and if they do make an error or are out of stock they are very quick to rectify it, so I have been very happy with there service now if they only put it away for me then it would be perfect

When I lived in Sydney I used Greengrocer. It was wonderful . The quality was wonderful You could even get Neil Perry meals . Then they sold it to Woolies.

I'm in perth NOR used Coles online after my knee replacement, they were great, the nice delivery man would carried them into the kitchen for me. If anything was out of stock they would send me an email, payed for groceries when they were delivered. Quite often there were samples of products, one time it was a bottle of pasta sauce.

I shop with Coles online and love it.  I check the receipts each time and have never had a muck-up. It took a while to get my regular list sorted but now it is quick to zip through the saved list and click the quantities. We get free samples occasionally. I just do it once a month and buy my fruit, veg, dairy etc weekly.

I've used WW and found them to be great. Depending on the item I check 'allow substitution', but I have found (a few times) that the packer's version of a similar substitute is different to mine....I assumed that a similar brand would be substituted, however I've had the same brand & a different flavour was substituted....can't remember what it was though.
It's not something I do all the time but when DD was a baby it was really handy and also when I had glandular fever earlier this year, it wasn't a big ordeal to make sure we had some healthy food. I do try to avoid the fresh food as I've been disappointed a few times.

My mum and I have used WW online shopping in the past, but since we prefer to choose our own meat and vegetables, it ended up being easier for us to just do our entire shop ourselves. When we did use it, the delivery man was extremely friendly and polite. He brought all the shopping in for us, asked us where we would like it put, showed us where any fragile items were, and sometimes he even left us the cold bags free of charge
We also got quite a few complimentary items, often tinned or packaged things. We sent them up to my brother in Perth because he lives on that sort of thing
It would definitely be worth it for some people, but I'm happy to do my own grocery shopping so I can choose all my own items. My mum and I have this little game where we have to find paper towel with the cow print, and not once did we get the cows when we ordered online

I have tried Aussie Farmers in the past when it first started but what I didn't like about them was how far ahead you had to order....I'm not that organised. Not sure if things have changed and was also worried about how long things were sitting outside.

I might give Coles a go since delivery costs are cheaper. I usually buy my fruit and veg from a fruit and veg store but I might give it a go here too but from experience, don't like the quality.

I didn't even think about missing items but if they correct the error in a day that's not too bad.

I downloaded the app ages ago on ipad but since it is the first ipad it is reaaaaaaaaallllllly slowwwwwww and a painful experience so gave up.

I order mine the day before, as long as I do it in the morning its fine.

I love the fact its fresh, australian & its delivered 3 times a week. On my food budget I now only have 2 deliveries.

I've used Coles and Woolworths and have generally found Coles to be better service and better quality. I don't use online shopping religiously.  Usually only when it turns out that there are lots of boring house items that need to be purchased. I recommend against allowing brand substitution. As per previous comments, the packer's idea of 'similar' has always been very different to mine.
