Perhaps the marketplace could be locked for viewing only by members too?  That way there is less general appeal for advertising.

Another good idea.

Naughty Gert. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Lots of good ideas here.  When there is so much TMX recipe sharing,  it would be nice to be able to support members.
Gert , I do not wish to sell my SD,  I would rather give it away to  Forum members.

Oh I nose you wanna give your SD away. So many newbies  to help with bread baking too.  Good to see so many coming on board eh?

I hope MM can figure out a way so we can better support our members too without giving offence, stress and angst. Love that word angst. reminds me of Gnats. They can be very annoying. We don't want gnats or angst.

Well you started my day with laughs again! Thanks Gert.

Clocks changed last night, wish we could have BST (GMT +1) all year.

Another forum I was on had a more private thread too for personal things, you had to have been a member and posted safely for a good while before access was allowed.

We aim to amuse MM

Maybe another moderator just  to moderate a Market Place thread with explicit  instructions .

This sounds like a great idea.. Maybe it should be for participating forum members only and not newbies or those who seem to float in the background and i agree for members only viewing.. And obviously nothing that competed with thermie... Thinks thats a given.. Gert look forward to meeting you one day.. Your quite a character..lol!

As me you. Did you know there is a member here called gourmandgertie? She never posted though.
